    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine in which a long swing lever can be provided and cloth can be fed even by a motor-driven rotary drive actuator of a small size and low output.
      SOLUTION: A bar tacking sewing machine 1 is provided with a cloth feeding mechanism 13 for feeding working cloth through a feed plate 27. The cloth feeding mechanism 13 includes a θ direction drive motor 32 vertically placed downwards at a bed part 2 so as to feed the working cloth in a θ direction, a pinion attached to an output shaft projecting on the lower end side of the θ direction drive motor 32, a swing lever 33 provided with a gear part 64 to be engaged with the pinion, and a swing member 34 provided with a swing shaft part 70 fixed to the rear end part of the swing lever 33 and a feed lever 71 connected to the feed plate 27 through a square piece 73. The swing lever 33 is provided below a lower shaft.

SOLUTION: A sewing machine cloth feeding device is provided with left and right feed dogs (27; 28, 65 and 66) consisting of right and left feed dogs which are divided along a cloth feeding direction, a feed bar (20) for supporting the left and right feed dogs to be movable in a direction crossing the cloth feed direction, a vertical driving means (35) for giving a vertical motion to the left and right feed dogs, a horizontal driving means (38) or giving a horizontal motion to the feed dogs and left and right driving means (51, 63 and an actuator) for giving a motion in a sliding direction which crosses the cloth feeding direction to the feed dogs. The device is constituted by providing a plurality of support shafts (29a, 29b, 67 and 68) which are individually fixed to the left and right feed dogs and arranged along the sliding direction and a plurality of support holes (21c, 21d, 21m and 21n) which are formed at both ends of the feed bar in the sliding direction in order to support the support shafts so as to be independently movable along the sliding direction.
