摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent brittleness phenomenon based on the deposition of gallium in a liquid-metal state by forming an inorganic protective film on both a vacuum vessel and the parts for a vacuum apparatus made of aluminum material by means of spark discharge in an electrolytic bath. CONSTITUTION:Both a vacuum vessel and the parts for the other vacuum apparatus made of aluminum material are made to an anode and a stainless plate or a nickel plate is made to a cathode and both electrodes are immersed into a chlorate aq. soln. DC voltage having an optional waveform is impressed in the optional range of 0.1-10A/cm anode current density and boosted until spark discharge is generated and furthermore boosted until a required thickness is obtained and this state is maintained for a definite period. As a result, an inorganic protective film is formed on the surfaces of both the vacuum vessel and the parts for the other vacuum apparatus made of aluminum material being the anode. Further 200g/l sodium silicate aq. soln. can be used as an electrolytic bath.

摘要： PURPOSE:To increase the electric resistance between layers of a thin strip of an amorphous magnetic alloy obtd. by supper quenching from a molten state without deteriorating the superior magnetic characteristics by anodizing the thin strip in an electrolytic soln. to form an insulating oxide film. CONSTITUTION:The thin strip of the amorphous magnetic alloy is produced by supper quenching from a molten state by a twin-roll method or other method and it is used as a thin magnetic strip having a small iron loss and giving the iron core of a power transformer, a high frequency transformer or the like. The thin strip is anodized in an electrolytic soln. contg. sodium aluminate to form an Al2O3 layer on the surface. The electric resistance between layers of the thin strip laminated is remarkably increased by the Al2O3 layer, an increase in the iron loss due to an eddy current between the layers is controlled and the corrosion resistance is improved. ZnO2, TaO2 or other oxide may be utilized in place of Al2O3.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a structural material having desired strength and thickness in a short period with a method for electrodepositing an inorg. layer on said material with the cathode and anode in the sea water by consisting the cathode of plural wire screens and passing the DC currents having different current values to the respective wire screens. CONSTITUTION:Flat plate wire screens 1 formed of a conductive material are fixed in the sea water S and an anode member 2 is disposed to face the nets 1. Three sheets of the nets 1 are juxtaposed equidistantly in proximity to each other. The nets 3, 4 have the same mesh and the central mesh 5 of coarser mesh. The member 2 and the nets 1 via a switch 7 and a selector 6 are respectively connected to the anode and cathode of a DC power source 8 as shown in the figure. The switch 7 is then turned on and the selector 6 is selected at a specified period to conduct intermittently electricity to the nets 3 and 4, 5, respectively. Then the ions of Ca, Mg, etc. in the sea water are thus converted to inorg. compd. and stick to the nets 1, so that soft and hard layers 9, 10 consisting essentially of Mg(OH)2 and CaCO3 are respectively formed on the nets 5, 3 and 4 having the large and small current densities.
