    • PURPOSE:To enhance the strength of the connection part of a wire and a wire pin part, a wire speed and durability, by integrally molding the wire pin part and the wire, and setting the wt. of the wire pin part to the specific percentage by wt. of the wire and forming the wire pin part into an almost plate shape. CONSTITUTION:A frame 1 and a core 1a are integrally formed and a coil 2 is engaged with the core 1a. A coil press plate 8 is mounted on the frame 1 and an armature 3 having a plunger 4 connected thereto is pressed to the coil press plate 8 through the fulcrum thereof by a fulcrum press spring 7. A wire pin part 5a integrally molded along with a wire 5 is contacted with the leading end part of the armature 3 by the return spring 9 existing between a nose 10 and the wire pin part 5a. The wire 5 is guided by the nose 10 and wire guides 6a, 6b. When the diameter of the wire 5 is set to (d) and the thickness of the wire in part 5a is set to (t) by header processing, the relation of d>t is formed. The wt. of the wire pin part 5a is 10% or less by wt. of the whole of the wire and the wt. of the wire is reduced by 30% as compared with a conventional one.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain uniform printing quality, by making the bending rigidity of a post stage printing wire larger than that of a front stage printing wire. CONSTITUTION:Front stage printing wires 17 and post stage printing wires 17' are inserted in a wire guide 23. The diameters of the wires 17, 17' are the same and the material quality of each wire 17 is constituted by using powder high-speed steel and material quality of a superhard system is used in each wire 17'. Because of this, the bending rigidity of the post stage printing wire 17', becomes larger than that of the printing wire 17. Therefore, the printing force of the front stage printing wire 17 and that of the post stage printing wire 17' become equal and uniform printing quality can be obtained. Further, since a large number of wire guides for the post stage printing wires 17' are unnecessary, cost reduction is achieved.

CONSTITUTION:In a printing head for a needle printer, at least a part or the entire part of a metallic base material constituting a needle 4 is coated with a hard carbonaceous layer, with an intermediate layer therebetween. Particularly, a tip part 4a and sliding parts 4b, 4c of the needle are object parts to be coated. The intermediate layer is made to have, for example, a two-layer construction 8a comprising a first layer 10 of chromium (Cr) or titanium (Ti) provided on the metallic base material 9 and a second layer 11 of silicon (Si) or garmanium (Ge) provided thereon. The hard carbonaceous layer 12 of an amorphous structure is provided on the Si (Ge) layer 11. The intermediate layer is preferably provided by vacuum deposition, ion plating, sputtering or vapor phase growth, while the hard carbonaceous layer is preferably provided by a plasma polymerization method.

    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to round the cut ends of high-hardness wires at a small radius of curvature in a short time, by charging a plurality of the high-hardness wires densely in a hollow protector, then by cutting the hollow protector by a predetermined length, and by polishing the cut surfaces of the wires. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of high-hardness wires 1 are charged in an aluminum hollow protector 2 by means of a vibrator. The hollow protector 2 having been charged with the plurality of high-hardness wires is pressed by a press unit 5 composed of a plunger 3 and a holder 4 so that the cross-sectioned shape thereof is deformed. Thereby, the wires 1 may be densely and firmly secured in a pipe 2 which is then cut into cut pieces having a predetermined length. Each cut piece is polished by emery papers in three grades. Since the wires are densely charged in the hollow pipe and are firmly secured, it is possible to satisfactorily round the cut ends of wires in a large amount within a short time.

    • PURPOSE:To improve a durability and to reduce a cost by forming a dotted wire body with a high hardness material and by forming a spherical head at the tail end of the wire body through an electrical discharge of a laser beam, arc, etc. CONSTITUTION:A high hardness wire material 2 such as a cemented carbide, a high speed steel, etc., is worked into a shape with prescribed dimension to manufacture the dotted wire body. Then, the wire body is set vertically placing its tail end under which the tail end of the wire body 3 is heated to melt by the electrical discharge such as a laser beam, arc or electron beam emitted from a discharge terminal 6 just under. On this occasion, the electric discharge is finished at melting the tail end part into the spherical shape. In this way, the spherical head 5 on the tail end of the body 3 is formed. The head 5 and its neighborhood are improved in toughness by an aging effect and as the body 3 is made of the high hardness material, the durability of wire is improved and the production cost is reduced by simplifying the manufacture.
