    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the precision of detecting an air-excess ratio from being degraded by a flame lift in a combustion apparatus which includes a temperature sensor 5 facing on a combustion plate 3 on the top face of a totally-primary-combustion-type burner to adjust the volumes of primary air and fuel gas to be supplied to the burner according to the air-excess ratio detected through the output of the temperature sensor, wherein the combustion plate is provided with a flameless-hole part 32 not forming flame holes 3a over a predetermined range of an area including a part immediately below the temperature sensor.SOLUTION: A second flameless-hole part 34 not forming the flame holes 3a is provided by being located outside in the direction of the Y-axis (the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the temperature sensor 5) of a flame-hole-forming part 33 for heating the temperature sensor wherein a plurality of the flame holes 3a adjacent to the flameless-hole part 32 are formed. Further, an obstacle subjected to the collision of blowout-gas flow from the flame holes 3a is provided by facing on an external flame-hole-forming part 35 located outside in the direction of the Y-axis of the second flameless-hole part 34. Preferably, the obstacle is constituted by an ignition electrode 6 and a frame rod 7.
