    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus for generating images with increased depth of field and dynamic range, and to provide an endoscope apparatus, an image generation method or the like.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes an image acquisition section, an exposure adjustment section 240, and a synthetic image generation section. The image acquisition section acquires a near-point image focusing on a near-point object, and a far-point image focusing on a far-point object located farther than the near-point object. The exposure adjustment section 240 adjusts the ratio of the exposure of the near-point image to the exposure of the far-point image. The synthetic image generation section generates a synthetic image based on the near-point image and the far-point image acquired with exposure with an adjusted ratio.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope excellent in the convenience, capable of easily switching the observation between the anterior observation and the posterior observation without unnecessarily moving the whole endoscope while the endoscope is inserted into the living body. SOLUTION: An insertion part 10 of the endoscope 1 includes: a shaft body 11 continued to a cable part 30 to linearly extend and having an objective lens 11a on the distal end side; and an observation direction changing part 20 disposed on the distal end side of the shaft body 11.
