CONSTITUTION:A telephone terminal equipment 3 is provided with a polarity inversion detecting means 31 which detects polarity inversion of the DC voltage applied to a subscriber's line 1 by an automatic exchange 2, a means which forms a loop circuit 32 of high resistance between subscriber's lines when polarity inversion is detected, and a means 33 which receives the in-band signal of low voltage sent from the exchange 2 to indicate the incoming to a subscriber, and the exchange 2 is provided with a polarity inverting means 21 which inverts the polarity of the DC voltage applied to the subscriber's line 1 to which the call comes, a detecting means 22 which detects that the loop circuit 32 of high resistance is formed in the equipment 3, and a means 23 which sends the in-band signal of low voltage to the subscriber's line 1 when the detecting means 22 detects forming of the circuit 32. Since the exchange does not send a high voltage signal like a conventional call signal, it is unnecessary to consider a call signal sending route so that the route can endure a high voltage.

CONSTITUTION:When an SCN signal comes to a 2W line, a feeding/supervisory circuit SCN detects it so as to activate relays RL1, RL2. A power supply E of the coder COD is applied with closing of a contact rl1, the power supply E of the decoder DEC is applied through the closing of a contact rl2 so as to bring the both into the operating state, a dial tone DT is transmitted to a caller and the system enters the reception state of the 1st selecting numeral. When the reception of the 1st selecting numeral is detected by the circuit SCN, its control circuit CONT restores only the relay RL2, the contact rl2 is opened, the decoder DEC is brought into the inoperating state and when the circuit SCN detects the reception of all figures, the relay RL2 is activated again so as to close the contact rl2 thereby bringing the decoder DEC into the operating state.
