    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shield ultraviolet rays and to minimize the contamination by covering a sun visor consisting of a transparent thermoplastic resin with a surface layer including an optical semiconductor, and constituting the surface layer of anatase-type titanium dioxide sol and a silicone resin. SOLUTION: Anatase-type titanium dioxide sol is mixed with colloicial silica sol, and applied to both surfaces of an acrylic resin plate about 2 mm thick by spray coating. Further, the resulting plate is heated and hardened at about 80 deg.C for about 4 hours, whereby an acrylic resin plate covered with a surface layer consisting of titanium dioxide and silicone resin is provided. The acrylic resin plate covered with the surface layer is thermally molded and cut, whereby an automobile window sun visor is provided. The surface layer including an optical semiconductor which covers the sum visor has a thickness of about 4 μm. Thus, ultraviolet ray shielding function can be revealed, and contamination can be minimized.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an excellent flame retardancy and weatherability in addition to transparency and impact resistance by a method wherein a polycarbonate resin covering layer containing a specified amount of a specified ultraviolet absorber and having a specified thickness is provided on at least one side of a polycarbonate resin board layer. SOLUTION: The frontal plate of a vending machine consists of a board layer made of polycarbonate resin and a covering layer, which is provided on one side or both sides of the board layer and made of a polycarbonate resin compounded with 1-20wt.% of hydroxyphenyl triazine and has a thickness of 10-200μm. If the loadings of the ultraviolet absorber are less than 1wt.%, insufficient weatherability result, while if its loadings exceeds 20wt.%, not only its initial coloration becomes larger but also the ultraviolet absorber separates out on the surface of the plate, resulting in becoming the exterior appearance of the plate worse. Further, if the thickness of the covering layer is thinner than 10μm, the uniform covering of the board layer with the covering layer becomes difficult and the inferior weatherability of the plate results, while if its thickness exceeds 200μm, the covering layer becomes color by the ultraviolet absorber blended in the covering layer.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polycarbonate resin composition having low surface resistivity, improved surface appearance and excellent illuminating effect by mixing a polycarbonate resin with a specified polyether, a specified alkylsulfonate and specified microparticles. SOLUTION: This composition is prepared by mixing 100 pts.wt. polycarbonate resin (A) with 0.01-3 pts.wt. polyether (B) represented by formula I (wherein R1 is H or CH3 ; and n is a constant determined by the average molecular weight) and having a number-average molecular weight of 2,000-20,000, 0.1-5 pts.wt. alkali metal aklylsulfonate (C) in which the alkyls have 11-15 carbon atoms on the average and which is represented by formula II (wherein R2 is an 8-18 C linear or branched alkyl: and M is an alkali metal), and 1-10 pts.wt. at least one kind of micropariticles (D) having a weight-mean particle diameter of 0.5-10μm. The composition has excellent antistatic properties and surface appearance because it comprises resin A, compound B having the above molecular weight, compound C as an antistatic agent, and the above amount of microparticles D having the above mean particle diameter and used as a light- diffusing agent.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic resin laminate improved in appearance inferiority caused by the disturbance of a lamination interface. SOLUTION: In a thermoplastic resin laminate wherein a thermoplastic resin 2 (B) is laminated on at least the single surface of a thermoplastic resin 1 (A) through a bonding layer, the thickness of the bonding layer is 0.1-2μm and the max. difference of undulation thereof is 10μm or less per a width of 5mm and the bonding layer 3 is the thermoplastic resin laminate being the mixed layer of the thermoplastic resin 1 (A) and the thermoplastic resin 2 (B). Further, the thermoplastic resin laminate has the bonding layer formed by simultaneously molding the thermoplastic resin (A) and the thermoplastic resin (B) of which the melt flow rate is 0.5-2 times that of the thermoplastic resin (A). Further, the thermoplastic resin laminate consists of the thermoplastic resin (A) composed of a polycarbonate resin and the thermoplastic resin (B) composed of an acrylic resin and a laminated sheet consists of thermoplastic resins (A), (B) wherein the thickness of the layer of the thermoplastic resin (B) is 3-500μm.
