摘要： PURPOSE:To remarkably increase abrasion resistance and elongate the life of a dredging pump by providing polyurethane or abrasion resisting rubber in the porous portion and outer periphery of a porous burned ceramic material. CONSTITUTION:Porous burned ceramics 1 formed of Al2O3, ZrB2, SiC, ZrO2 and Si3N4 contains in the porous portion and the outer periphery thereof polyurethane or natural rubber 2. In this case, polyurethane is a mixture of a main component and a curing agent, and the natural rubber is vulcanized in the open steam process. This remarkably increases the abrasion resistance of the ceramics when used as an impeller, casing line and discharge pipe liner of a dredging pump, sot that the life of the dredging pump can be greatly elongated.

摘要： PURPOSE:To increase abrasion resistance and elongate the life of a dredging pump by including a matrix formed of an abrasion resisting rubber or polyurethane, high specific gravity powders dispersed in the matrix and uniformly dispersed ceramic particles. CONSTITUTION:A matrix 1 is composed of an abrasion resisting rubber which is formed of polyurethane or natural rubber vulcanized in the open steam process. The matrix 1 is uniformly mixed with metal carbide 2 such as WC, NbC and Mo C, and fine spherical or fine polygonal ceramics 3 of Al2O3, ZrB2, SiC, ZrO2, Bi3N4. Thus, as ceramics are uniformly dispersed, abrasion resistance is as so remarkably improved as to provide a material for an impeller, casing liner and suction and discharge pipe liner which can elongate the life of the dredging pump.

摘要： PURPOSE:To form a continuously cast thin sheet having an excellent surface characteristic by supplying a specified amt. of casting powder by a specified flow rate of inert gas into a sealing chamber of a two drum system continuous casting device for the thin metallic sheet. CONSTITUTION:A molten metal 4 is supplied by a nozzle from a tundish 5 into the sealing chamber 6 constituted of water-cooled drums 1, 1 and a refractory gate 2. The casting powder 7 for holding the temp. of the molten metal is supplied from a supply box 8 onto the surface of the molten metal 4. The inert gas such as Ar or N is passed at the specified flow rate to a casting powder supply pipe 9 and the powder 7 in the bos 8 is supplied by each specified atm. onto the surface of the molten metal 4 by such gas. Since the supply rate of the powder 7 is constant, the molten metal 4 is maintained always at the specified temp. The atmosphere on the surface of the molten metal is made non-oxidizing by the inert gas to prevent the formation of the defective continuously cast thin sheet 3 by the change of the molten metal temp. or oxidation.

摘要： PURPOSE:To remove the oxide scale sticking to an ingot without decreasing the ingot temp., to decrease the wear of an inline mill and to maintain the good characteristic of a thin sheet by disposing a shot blasting device in the fore stage of hot rolling by said mill. CONSTITUTION:A molten metal 4 is poured from a tundish 5 into the space formed of two water-cooled casting rolls 1, 1' and two stationary gates 2, 2'. The solidified shells cooled and formed by contacting of the molten metal with the surfaces of the rolls 1, 1' are united to one body as the rolls 1, 1' rotate to constitute the ingot 3. The ingot 3 is drawn by pinch rolls 6 and the metallic shot of room temp. or heated to a high temp. is immediately blasted to the ingot 3 by the shot blasting device 8 by which the oxide scale is removed from the ingot. The ingot is then hot rolled at a prescribed draft by the inline mill 9.

摘要： PURPOSE:To reduce a cold-rolling reduction rate and to lower an annealing temperature at the next stage, by heat treating a sheet slab in-line to obtain a fine metallurgical structure in manufacturing a metallic sheet by a twin-drum type continuous casting machine. CONSTITUTION:A slab 3, formed by water-cooling casting rolls 1, 1', is cooled once to the temperature not more than its A1 transformation point, and is heated again to the temperature not less than its A2 transformation point by a heating furnace 7, and is kept at that temperature. Thereafter, the slab 3 is cooled by gas or water or a mixture of them, and is carried to the next stage. Because the metallurgical structure of slab 3 obtained at this stage is very fine, a cold-rolling reduction rate can be reduced and an annealing temperature is also lowered when the slab 3 is cold rolled at the next stage, and the energy consumption is reduced.

CONSTITUTION:The angle theta of intersection of the axial lines of an upper work roll 1 and a lower work roll 2 within the horizontal plane is made about >=0.5 deg. at which a steel sheet 3 is hot rolled in rolling-down pass for hot rolling of the sheet 3. The shearing strain in the direction at a right angle to the rolling direction is thus generated in the sheet 3 and the low temp. toughness value of the hot-rolled steel sheet is improved.
