摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical communication network system with high reliability for performing path switching processing without modifying an optical signal so as to prevent an erroneous alarm from being raised when switching an optical switch. SOLUTION: The optical communication network system includes an optical path setting apparatus 100, which is provided with an optical switch 300 for switching the path of the optical signal without modifying the optical signal and setting the path; a control section 305 for instructing the optical switch 300 on path switching; and a performance monitor section 310 for detecting the performance of the optical signal whose path is set by the optical switch 300. The performance monitor section 310 outputs an alarm when the detected performance is deteriorated than predetermined performance. The control section 305 includes a warning mask section 303 for masking an alarm outputted from the performance monitor section 310 for a predetermined mask period from a point in time when at least the optical switch starts switching so as to avoid output of the alarm. 摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a monitor information transfer in an optical fiber transmission system, without lowering the output power of an optical fiber amplifier. SOLUTION: The optical relay apparatus contains a monitor optical transmitter and a monitor optical receiver having approximately the same wavelength as that of the stimulation optical source for an optical fiber amplifier. A first optical multiplexer-branching filter forward multiplexes the stimulation light and branches a wavelength-multiplexed monitor signal and the monitor receiver receives it at the input of the relay apparatus. A second optical multiplexer- branching filter reverse multiplexes the stimulation light and monitor optical signals outputted from the monitor transmitter at the output of the relay apparatus. Thus the monitor information transfer can be realized in a simple constitution.

SOLUTION: A movable yoke 104 is fixed to the tip of the optical fiber 111. The permanent magnet 101 and the electrode plate are fixed to a fixed block 107, and further, a second movable yoked 105 is fitted to the fixed block 107. One side of the end part of the second movable yoke 105 is in contact with the fixed yoke 102a wound with a coil 109. The coil 110 is wound around the fixed yoke 103a arranged on the opposite side of the fixed yoke 102a. Respective coil electrodes 117, 118 are fitted to the coils 109, 110. Respective electrodes 114, 116 are fitted to the fixed yokes 102a, 103a, and the electrode 115 is fitted to the second movable yoke 105. The electrode through which a current flows is changed according to the contact state of the second movable yoke 105 with the fixed yokes 102a, 103a.

SOLUTION: A line terminator LTE in a node equipment in a communication network that detects a fault in an optical fiber used for communication gives an instruction to an optical cross connector OXC in its own node equipment as a trigger to select an optical fiber. All the control for the changeover of the optical fibers is executed by exchange of switching control information by the optical cross connector OXC itself with an optical cross connector in other node equipment.

An optical modulator 5 is driven by a transmission signal 6. In the case of obtaining a signal light subject to on/off keying modulation, an amplitude modulator 5 is required. In this case, the amplitude modulator 5 applies OOK (On/Off Keying) modulation by a coherent component to a coherent light outputted from the light source 4. Furthermore, a frequency filter 9 is realized by an interference filter. Then a signal light outputted from the frequency filter 9 becomes an output of an optical injection synchronization device 7.

摘要： PURPOSE:To make a modulated transmission optical frequency stable without being affected by a transmission signal by extracting a part of a spectrum of a modulated transmission light with an optical filter and detecting the frequency of the extracted light so as to apply negative feedback. CONSTITUTION:A transmission light extracted by an optical coupler 3 is given to an optical frequency filter 4, the optical frequency shift signal is detected by a photodetector 5 and fed back in negative to a laser control circuit 1. The laser control circuit 1 is constituted of amplifier 6, 7 whose band is identical to each other, a division element 8 and a laser driving circuit 9. The frequency of the modulated transmission light is made stable without being affected by a change in the transmission signal.
