The internal casing 10 comprises the first internal casing 11 with a suction flow path formed and the second internal casing 12 of housing the impeller 14. A seal member 13 formed of elastic material is interposed in a clearance between a suction side end part of the first internal casing 11 and the external casing 1, and also interposing a seal member 20 formed of elastic material in a connection part between the first/second internal casings 11, 12.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save energy for fluid machine for high-temperature liquid by releasing heat from a frequency converter by natural convection that is generated at least either on an inner side or outer side of a vertically-mounted cylindrical cooling device. SOLUTION: A frequency converter assembly 12 comprises a frequency converter 10 and vertically-mounted cylindrical cooling device 11. The cooling device 11 is provided with a metal pipe 13 excellent in thermal conduction, inside which liquid 16 such as water or liquid paraffin is enclosed. An air chamber 17 for adsorbing expansion of the liquid 16 caused by temperature rise is provided between a liquid level of the liquid 16 and a lid body 15. The frequency converter 10 is mounted such that an open face of heat-releasing means 25 is adhered to a lower portion of an outer peripheral surface of the metal pipe 13. With this configuration, heat generated from the frequency converter 10 is conducted relatively fast from a surface of the metal pipe 13 to liquid 16, the liquid 16 generating natural convection. Accordingly, the heated liquid 16 with a high temperature flows upward, while the liquid 16 with a relatively low temperature flows downward.
