摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for synthesizing a fluoroalkylsulfonylaminoethyl α-substituted acrylate in a manner suitable for industrial-scale production. SOLUTION: The method comprises obtaining an aminoethyl α-substituted acrylate salt by reacting an α-aminoethanol salt (step 1) and smoothly obtaining the objective fluoroalkylsulfonylaminoethyl α-substituted acrylate by reacting the obtained aminoethyl α-substituted acrylate or an aminoethyl α-substituted acrylate obtained by neutralizing it with a base with a fluoroalkylsulfonic halide or a fluoroalkylsulfonic anhydride (step 2). According to this method, it is possible to smoothly produce the objective fluoroalkylsulfonylaminoethyl α-substituted acrylate in a yield very much higher than that in prior art. Then the 1,1-bis(trifluoromethyl)-1,3-diol is reacted with an α-substituted acrylic acid anhydride to obtain an objective 1,1-bis(trifluoromethyl)-1,3-diol acrylic acid-based ester. Thereby, it is possible to produce the objective substance in a large amount, under milder conditions than those of conventional technologies, with a high selectivity.

At least one kind of compound selected from a group consisting of phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, p-toluenesulfonic acid, trifluoromethanesulfonic acid, boron trifluoride, titanium tetrachloride and tin tetrachloride is preferably used as the acid catalyst. According to the present invention, treatment of the reaction mixture is remarkably facilitated, because the reaction mixture is kept in a low viscosity through reaction and purification processes.
