    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolled aluminum alloy material having excellent machinability and capable of suppressing shortening of service life of cutting tools and also to provide its manufacturing method.
      SOLUTION: The rolled aluminum alloy material has a composition composed of, by mass, 2 to 7% Si, 0.1 to 8% Cu, 0.001 to 5% Mg, 0.001 to 0.5% Cr, 0.005 to 0.03% Ti, 0.001 to 0.006% B, 0.005 to 0.3%, in total, of at least one element selected from the group composed of Sr, Sb, Ca, Na and P, and the balance aluminum with inevitable impurities. Further, the size of Si-containing particles present in the inner part is ≤5 μm on average and ≤10 μm at maximum. Moreover, the crystal structure of the aluminum alloy is composed of one structure selected from the group consisting of a hot-rolled structure and a mixed structure of hot-rolled structure and recrystallized structure.
