SOLUTION: A fishing line is wound on the line-winding part of a spool 8 placed at the front part of the reel main body while guiding the line with a line roller 16 and the line wound on the line-winding part of the spool 8 is paid out by disengaging the line from the line roller 16. In a spinning reel for fishing having the above construction, a pair of cylindrical contact parts 17a, 17b coming into contact with both side faces of the fishing line are placed outside the line-guiding outer circumferential face of the line roller 16, at least one of the contact parts 17a, 17b is made to be slidable in the axial direction of the supporting shaft 23 of the line roller 16 to enable the part to come into contact with the other contact part and applied a force in the contact direction by a force applying means 21.

SOLUTION: A fishing line is wound on the line-winding part of a spool 8 placed at the front part of the reel main body while guiding the line with a line roller 16 and the line wound on the line-winding part of the spool 8 is paid out by disengaging the line from the line roller 16. In the spinning reel for fishing having the above construction, the line roller 16 is divided into the right and left side wall parts 16a, 16b, both wall parts 16a, 16b are rotatably supported on the same axis, engaged with each other in a state to overlap the divided end faces 17a, 17b and elastically forced with a forcing means 23 to constrict the gap between the divided end faces 17a, 17b.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for braking rotation of fishing reel which enables an angler to quickly stop, by extremely simple operations, the reverse rotation of the rotary member without causing noise when the rotary member starts rotating in the reverse direction between the reel and the rotary member or the braking mechanism, prevents the line from cutting even if a great load is suddenly applied on the line when the angler is waiting for a strike after casting the line, and further prevents entanglement of the line which used to occur at the time of attaching a bait to a hook due to the reverse rotation of a rotary member such as a rotor. SOLUTION: A braking member 24 is connected, via a one-directional connecting clutch 20, to a rotor 7 which rotates interlockingly with the rotation of the handle so that the braking member rotates integrally with the rotor 7. The braking member 24 is press-contacted for braking by the operation of a manipulation member 18 which in turn is supported on the reel 1. There are provided at the tip of the manipulation member 17 a main braking strip 18 which abuts against the braking mechanism 24 when the manipulation member 17 is in operation and an auxiliary braking strip 19 which abuts against the braking mechanism 24 when the manipulation member 17 is not in operation.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an invertion preventing device for reel for fishing which improves speedy operability so as to instantaneously perform invertion prevention. SOLUTION: An outer ring body 11 is fixedly supported on a handle shaft 6. The inner peripheral surface of the outer ring body is right octagonal. On a frame plate 2, an inner ring body 12 is supported so as to be rotated in respect to the handle shaft 6. At a loop-shaped gap between the inner ring body and the outer ring body, a loop-shaped holder 14 is arranged for holding a roller 13 in a holding hole. When the outer ring body and the loop-shaped holder are rotated in one direction by the rotational operation of a handle 5, the roller is moved near the corner part of the outer ring body and the handle shaft 6 can be rotated in this direction. When the handle shaft 6 tries to rotate in the other direction, the roller 13 is moved to the side part direction of the inner ring body 12 and held between the inner ring body 12 and the outer ring body 13 and the rotation in this direction is disabled by wedge operation. When a projecting part 17A of a switching member 17 is moved into the holding hole, the roller 13 is moved to a wedge non-operation position and when this projecting part leaves, the roller is moved to a wedge operation position.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing reel designed to enable its proper equalspeed sliding motion through a specific mechanism to subject a spool to reciprocating motion. SOLUTION: This fishing reel has an oblong and nearly ellipsoidal cam groove in the sliding direction of a spool shaft 6 and guide pins 11b, 11c penetrated slidably through a pin guide slit 10a with its one end engaged on the cam groove and the other end on the longitudinal groove of an oscillator 8. One end of a rotating plate 11 is axially supported swingably on an oscillatory gear 10, and both sides of the other end of the rotating plate 11 are provided with the guide pins 11b, 11c. The slit 10a is coaxial with the axis on one end of the rotating plate 11, and the guide pins 11b, 11c are penetrated through the slit 10a. It is so constituted that the rotating plate 11 is swung relatively to the oscillatory gear 10 by the ellipsoidal motion of the guide pin 11b engaged on the cam groove 1b involved in the rotation of the gear 10 so as to regulate the movement of the guide pin 11c in relation with the angle of rotation of the gear 10.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the durability of respective parts by moving a spool at almost equal speed and smoothly moving the spool. SOLUTION: An oscillating gear 9 is formed so as to be turned at a boss part 1a formed at a main body 1. An almost elliptical cam groove 1b is formed on the inner face of the main body. A rotor 10 is arranged above the gear. The rotor is formed from stainless stronger than aluminium as the information material of the main body is strength. A long hole 10a is pierced on the rotor, and the boss part 1a of the main body is inserted into this long hole. A 1st projecting part 10b is formed on the surface of the rotor on the side facing the main body, and the 1st projecting part is inserted through the long hole formed on the gear into the cam groove of the main body. On the outer periphery of the 1st projecting part, a collar 11 formed from a lubricated polyacetal as a material weaker than the material for the main body in strength is formed so as to be rotated. Since the collar touches the cam groove of the main body, the rotor does not directly touch the cam groove, and the cam groove is effectively prevented from being worn.
