    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency and control characteristics of an electric control apparatus, by preventing generation of a surge voltage by turning on a main switch within a period while phase difference is being detected when detecting the phase difference between a power voltage and a zero point of a load voltage, and by regenerating energy stored in a smoothing circuit into a power source using a very simple circuit constitution. SOLUTION: An electric power control method controls an alternating current step-down chopper type electric power control apparatus which comprises: a switching element composed of a main switch and two sub switches; a flywheel circuit including two sub switches; a full-wave rectifying circuit for rectifying an alternating current to be added to the main switch; and a smoothing circuit for smoothing a comb shaped waveform acquired by an on/off operation of the main switch. The control apparatus detects phase difference between a power source input terminal and an output terminal when each alternating voltage crosses the zero point, and in turning on the main switch forcibly and turning off the two sub switches forcibly within a period while the phase difference is detected.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent tube floodlight which can optionally adjust the directivity of the illuminating light, even though a fluorescent tube is used having merits such as electric power saving, high efficiency and small wattage, and low heat generation.
      SOLUTION: Tubular fluorescent tubes 2b, 2b overlap each other forward and backward in respective light sources 2-1 to 2-4 at positions of the smallest light source area, the light directly illuminated from the light sources becomes minimum, and the reflected light becomes maximum, whereby a light beam high in directivity is obtained. The tubular fluorescent tubes 2b, 2b are located up and down of the respective light sources 2-1 to 2-4 at positions of the greatest light source area, the light directly illuminated from the light sources becomes maximum, and reflected light becomes minimum, whereby scattered light low in directivity is obtained. Since the respective light sources 2-1 to 2-4 can be continuously rotated by driving of a turnable mechanism 5 by operation of an operation tab 4 and fixed at any positions, optional illuminating light between the light high in directivity and the light low in directivity can be obtained.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the lowering in lighting efficiency and occurrence of a problem for safety in a vertically long substantially elliptic irradiating surface easily obtainable with a circular form by providing a front lens arranged on the optical axis mutually connecting the centers of a bulb constituted with the front lens and a lamp body and a reflecting mirror in such a manner as to be inclinable to the optical axis. SOLUTION: A regulating mechanism 4 having a handle 7, a screw shaft 8 and a sliding member 9, which changes the space of an incandescent lamp 1 and a spherical reflecting mirror within a cylindrical lamp body 5 to a planoconvex lens 3 on an optical axis 6 between the centers of the both, longitudinal slides the plane-convex lens 3 within a support frame 11 having a support shaft 10 on the lower surface to regulate the irradiating diameter. The irradiating surface is generally circular. The planoconvex lens 3 is rotated about the vertical support shaft 10 crossing the optical axis 6 with the support frame 11 by the rotating operation of an operating handle on the lower surface of the sliding member 9, and inclined to the optical axis 6, whereby the irradiating surface can be easily made substantially elliptic. At this time, the filament 1a of the incandescent lamp 1 is not inclined, and its center is conformed to the optical axis 6, so that the high luminous intensity part of the bulb orientation can be utilized.
