    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna device which has the phase centers of the two taper slot antennas (TSA) orthogonal to each other match each other, and which has no unwanted emission from a feeder line.SOLUTION: An antenna device is composed of first and second TSAs 100 and 200. On both the sides of multilayer dielectric substrates 101 and 201 of the first and second TSAs 100 and 200, taper slot lines (105a, b) and (205a, b) are formed by first pair of ground conductors 102 and 202 and second pair of ground conductors 103 and 203. Linear conductors 107 and 207 one end of which is short-circuited to the first pair of ground conductors 102 and 202 and the other end of which is a feeding point form triplate lines 110 and 210 with the second pair of ground conductors 103 and 203. The first and second TSAs 100 and 200 are orthogonal to each other and combined so that the center lines O1 and O2 of their taper slot lines match each other, and the lengths of their linear conductors 107 and 207 are equal to each other.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable wireless tag communication device, capable of protecting a display surface.SOLUTION: A reader 1 includes: a body case 2, having a display surface 36A for a predetermined display, disposed to be an upper side and in a horizontal direction; a hold unit 4, located under the body case 2, which an operator M can hold; an antenna case 7 having a reader antenna 18 provided for wireless communication with a wireless tag T; and a rotation support unit 6, rising from the display surface 36A, for retaining the antenna case 7 in front of the display surface 36A in such a manner that the antenna case 7 is movable in a range at least including a protection position to cover the upper portion of the display surface 36A and a communication position for wireless communication, which rises from the protection position.
