    • PURPOSE:To measure free cyanogen with high selectivity and with high sensitivity by a method wherein a second changeover valve is changed over at a timing at which the peak of the free cyanogen is passed. CONSTITUTION:The standard solution at 1ppm of, e.g. CN is made to flow to a metering pipe 3 via a fourth changeover valve 13. In addition, an eluate is made to flow to a detector 6 via a first pump 1, a third changeover valve 10, a first changeover valve 2, a separating column 4, a second changeover valve 16 and a mixing coil 9, and a pH regulating liquid is made to flow to the side of the coil 9 from a second pump 8. Then, the flow passage of the valve 2 is changed over at a prescribed timing, the eluate takes into the standard solution in the metering pipe 3, it flows into the column 4, and CN ions are separated 4 and sent out to the detector 6. At this time, the passage time through the valve 16 of the CN ions is decided by subtracting a required time, and the valve 16 is changed over so as to match their passage timing. Then, a sample is made to flow to the metering pipe 3 via the valve 13, and the valves 2, 16 are changed over at the same timing. Thereby, only the CN ions in a plurality of components contained in the sample can be sent to the detector 6.

    • PURPOSE:To easily confirm performance of respective columns for concentrating, cutting and separating by concentrating sample by means of a first switch valve and removing interfering components by means of a second switch valve. CONSTITUTION:A first switch valve 5 is turned ON, and an internal flow path is changed to connection indicated by broken lines. A pump 3a is driven, and low concentration sample in a tank 1a is led to a concentration column 5g of the first switch valve 5 to be concentrated and retained. The first switch valve 5 is turned OFF and the internal flow path is returned to connection indicated by solid lines, wherein eluant which has passed through injectors 4a, 4b carries the sample concentrated and retained in the concentration column 5g to a cutting column 6g of a second switch valve 6. The second switch valve 6 is turned ON when unnecessary components in the sample is assumed to have reached the cutting column 6g so as to change the internal flow path to the connection indicated by the broken lines. Components of the sample concentrated and retained in the concentration column 5g which have not been collected into the cutting column are carried to a separation column 7 to be separated.

    • PURPOSE:To analyze a sample material of very low concentration contained in a solvent, by gas chromatography. CONSTITUTION:A precolumn 9 connected with a septum 5 at one end and with a column 2 for analysis at the other, a heating tank 1 heating the precolumn 9 discretely and a detector 17 for gas chromatograph connected to a discharge end of the column 2 for analysis are provided. A carrier gas supply port 15 is provided on the inflow port side of the column 2 for analysis, while an exhaust port 14 for discharging a solvent is provided between an outflow port of the precolumn 9 and the carrier gas supply port 15, and a sample prepared by diluting a sample material with the solvent in a large quantity is injected directly into the precolumn 9 by a microsyringe or the like, so as to ensure a high precision in determination. The solvent vaporized in the precolumn 9 is discharged outside a system from the exhaust port 14. Thereafter the temperature of the heating tank 1 is made to rise rapidly and a sample material component in the precolumn 9 is injected into the column 2 for analysis in a short time. Thereby the sample material component contained in the sample of a large quantity is injected into the column 2 for analysis in a concentrated manner without bringing forth expansion.
