    • PURPOSE: To produce lump ore having an excellent high temp. characteristic at a good yield by adding a flux to pulverous iron ore having a specific grain size, subjecting the ore to primary pelletization, coating solid fuel on the pellets and subjecting the same to secondary pelletization to a specific grain size and calcining the pellets.
      CONSTITUTION: The pulverous iron ore having ≤5mm grain size as the main grain size and flux are supplied from raw material tanks 1W5 and are mixed in a mixer 6 while water is added thereto. The mixture is put into an inside disk 70 of a two-stage type disk pelletizer 7, by which the mixture is subjected to primary pelletization. The primary pellets are transferred into an outside disk 71 by the rotation of the pelletizer 7. Quicklime, C.D.Q. powder coke are added thereto from raw material tanks 8, 9 and water is added to the mixture, then the mixture is subjected to the secondary pelletization to form the mini- pellets having 3W9mm grain size. The mini-pellets are then calcined by passing the same through the drying zone 100, ignition zone 101, calcining and cooling ozone 102 of a grate calcination furnace 10 and thereafter the calcined pellets are crushed by a crusher 106 and are screened by a screen 107, by which about ≥3mm product lump ore is produced.

    • PURPOSE:To economically manufacture green briquette efficient in quality, by carrying out respective processes under specified conditions wherein green briquette is prepared from reduced iron powder and basic slag powder, added with handling strength by preliminary curing and the unburnt briquette is manufactured by main curing. CONSTITUTION:5-15wt% basic slag powder (CaO/SiO2 is about 0.8min.) of 70% wt% max. in particle size 44mum max. to total wt% is added to at least one material of reduced iron powder and nonferrous iron one powder (about 3mm. max. in particle size), mixed and foamed to be green briquette. This green briquette is processed with preliminary curing container by the carbonation gas of 50-200 deg.C containing 10vol% at least carbon dioxide added with a specific handling strength. Then, green briquette is cured for a fixed time with one material at least of hydration gas and carbonation gas in the container for main curing, hardened and the non-burnt briquette is manufactured.

    • PURPOSE: To obtain lump ore having high strength and excellent quality without collapsing the green pellet consisting of a powdery and granular metallic raw material, a carbonating binder, and water in a reaction vessel by drying preliminarily said green pellets in the stage of hardening the green pellets without calcination.
      CONSTITUTION: A raw material consisting of ≥1 kind of iron ore powder, non- ferrous ore powder, and dust contg. oxides of iron or non-ferrous metals is mixed therewith a binder which hardens said material by forming carbonate and water and the mixture is molded to produce green pellets. The green pellets are successively and continuously passed in a predrying zone A, carbonation reaction zone B and drying zone C of a reaction vessel 1. Gas for predrying kept at a prescribed temp. is blown through a blow port 4 into the zone A to predry the green pellets. Gas for carbonation reaction which is composed of gaseous CO
      2 contg. steam and is kept at a prescribed temp. is blown through a blow port 6 into the zone B so that the green pellets are subjected to carbonation reaction treatment. Gas for drying kept at a prescribed temp. is further blown through a blow port 13 to dry and harder the green pellets.

    • PURPOSE:To produce noncalcined lump ores having excellent quality with good efficiency by drying the green pellets or green briquettes consisting of water hardenable binders, water and powdery and granular raw materials with drying gases of prescribed temp. then curing the same. CONSTITUTION:The green pellets obtd. by mixing powdery and granular raw materials such as finely grained iron ores and the like, water hardenable binders such as Portlant cement, and water at prescribed ratios are charged from a raw material charger 2 in the top part to a shaft furnace 1. Drying gases of about 130 deg.C are run from the drying gas inlets 7A to 7B which are provided by facing each other on the side walls 1A, 1B in the lower part of said charger 2, and the gases are blown by a cruciform flow system to the green pellets descending in the furnace 1, whereby the green pellets are dried. The dried green pellets are then cured by the gases contg. satd. steam of about 50 deg.C, 70 deg.C, and 100 deg.C successively in gas blow ports 4A, 4B, 5A, 5B, 6A, 6B. The pellets completed of the curing are discharged through a discharging device 3 for product pellets.
