CONSTITUTION:In polymerizing 20-100wt% styrene, (meth)acrylonitrile and/or alkyl methacrylate, e.g. methyl methacrylate, with 0-80wt% another copolymerizable monomer, e.g. methyl acrylate, a metallic chelate compound, e.g. acetylacetone Mn(II) chelate or acetylacetone Co(III) chelate, of acetylacetone, a 3- substituted acetylacetone or alkyl acetoacetate in an amount of 0.01-10 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. total monomer is used as a polymerization initiator to give the aimed resin. EFFECT:Good adhesivity of a coating film.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain the titled resin having improved storage stability, pigment miscibility and coating operating ratio, by polymerizing a radically polymerizable monomer in the presence of a copolymer of a specific (meth)acrylic ester with an alpha,beta-unsaturated carboxylic acid in an organic solvent. CONSTITUTION:A radically polymerizable monomer, e.g. butyl acrylate or styrene, is radically polymerized in the presence of a vinyl copolymer, containing 0.5-50wt% (meth)acrylic ester of the formula (R1 and R2 are H or CH3; n is 2-5 when m is 1, and 2 when m is 2-6), e.g. 2-dicyclopentenoxyethyl acrylate, and 5-50wt% alpha,beta-unsaturated carboxylic acid, e.g. acrylic acid, as constituent units, and having a weight-average molecular weight of 1,000-100,000 in an amount of preferably about 5-80wt% based on the total amount of the copolymer and the radically polymerizable monomer in an organic solvent, e.g. butyl cellosolve, and the resultant polymer is neutralized with a base, e.g. triethylamine and water.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain titled fabric which bears a closer resemblance to natural rushes, by adding an inorganic salt to a polymer composition obtained by polymerizing acrylonitrile at a high temperature and an elevated pressure in the presence of water with the aid of an organic radical initiator and foam-melt-extruding the resulting mixture. CONSTITUTION:The rushlike fabric is obtained by adding (D) 0.5-5%, based on the weight of acryl type polymer, of an inorganic salt such as KNO3, having a solubility in water at 100 deg.C (g/100g solution), of at least 35 to a molten acryl type polymer composition obtained by charging a reaction vessel with (A) 97-50wt% of acrylonitrile or a mixture thereof with other ethylenically unsaturated compounds, (B) 3-50wt% of water and (C) an organic radical initiator, and polymerizing the reaction mixture at an autogenous pressure or higher and at a temperature of 80 deg.C or higher, then foam-melt-extruding the composition through a nozzle to a low- pressure zone and stretching the extrudate. EFFECT:It is possible to carry out with good stability for a long time, the production of a synthetic rush in a form of foam having a smooth surface and bearing a closer resemblance to natural rushes.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prepare particles of an acrylonitrile-based polymer useful for food packaging and containing exceedingly small amount of the residual monomer, by heating an aqueous dispersion of the polymer containing an inorganic suspension stabilizer at a temperature above the glass transition point. CONSTITUTION:The residual monomer is eliminated from an acrylonitrile-based polymer by heating an aqueous dispersion of the polymer containing an inorganic suspension stabilizer (e.g. calcium hydroxy-apatite) at a temperature above the glass transition point. The polymer is perferably prepared by suspension polymerization in the presence of an inorganic suspension stabilizer.
