摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize bandwidth control without using a cell transmission list patterns in the multiplexing/demultiplexing mechanism of a wireless control device, related to an ATM cell bandwidth control device for controlling the transmission of various kinds of input ATM cells having different actual data lengths so as to attain a predetermined bandwidth. SOLUTION: An ATM cell bandwidth control device comprise a cell type determination part 1 to discriminate an input ATM cell, a means for generating cell management information comprising information representing an actual data length corresponding to the destined cell type, a cell management information storage port 4 for storing the cell management information in FIFO format, and a memory 6 for storing the ATM cell itself together with storage of cell management information. The cell management information of the cell management information storage part is taken out from from the output terminal within a delay time corresponding to the band, and confirms the presence of cell management information. When the presence of the cell management information is confirmed, the corresponding ATM cell is read out from the memory and sent out during the period corresponding to the actual data length of the cell.

A counter control means 103 monitors the respective counters and transmits the data packet from the preservation means when its counter exceeds a threshold value. A little smaller value than the threshold value is set to an initial value so that the inserted data packet can immediately be transmitted. Furthermore, the threshold value is calculated from a transmission rate or decided by an output ratio. Thus, the effects such as band management/warrant/smoothing/ effective utilization of data can be obtained.
