    • PURPOSE:To attain prolongation of filtering operation life and to enhance filtering capacity, by providing a porous distributing plate in the filtering desalting tower of an ion exchange desalting apparatus and uniformizing the speed of a rising stream. CONSTITUTION:A porous distributing plate 14 is provided to the gap between the buffle plate 2 and tube sheet fittings 3 in a filtering/desalting tower 11. A cooling material flows in the tower 11 from an inlet nozzle 1 to impinge against the buffle plate 2 and radially flows through the gaps of the tube group of the tube sheet fittings 3 to flow in the porous distributing plate 14. The porous distributing plate 14 has outflow apertures 9 having a diameter predetermined so as to uniformize the outflow speed and performs the distribution of flow. The cooling material flowing out of the porous distributing plate 14 rises between filter elements 4 to be successively sucked in the filter elements. The radioactive product contained in the cooling material is removed by ion exchange adsorption when the cooling material passes through a precoat layer 6.

    • PURPOSE:To form a bypath flow passage certainly and simply, by using a partition plate made of shape memory allow deformable at a prescribed transformation point, as means for forming sodium bypath flow passages at each step of mesh bodies. CONSTITUTION:Since the respective partition plates 17a, b are in closed state at starting cold trap operation, sodium flow contg. impurity is allowed to flow into a tank 1 from an inflow hole 2 cooled and introduced to tank lower part is passed through the mesh body 5a at the lowermost step and allowed to flow out from a flow exit 10. Impurities pptd. under over saturated state are caught by the body 5a, but if they are fully caught, clogging is caused. At the time point, if inflow of sodium into the tank 1 is stopped and the whole inside of tank is heated to transformation point of shape memory alloy of the plate 17a, it is deformed and opened, and the bypath flow passage 6 communicated to the second step mesh body 5b is formed while bypassing through the mesh body 5a at the lowermost step.
