    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection valve for promoting atomization of a fuel spray injected from a nozzle port.
      SOLUTION: A flat disk-like combustion chamber 202 is formed between an inlet side end surface 24 of a nozzle port plate 20 and a tip surface 32 of a nozzle needle 30. The nozzle port 22 is formed on the inner peripheral side of a circular envelope 212 of crossing with the inlet side end surface 24 of the nozzle port plate 20 in a virtual surface 210 of extending an inner peripheral surface 14 of a valve body 12 to the fuel downstream side. An annular wall 26 projecting toward a nozzle needle 30 from the inlet side end surface 24 of the nozzle port plate 20, is formed in an inner peripheral side edge part of the four nozzle ports 22. The nozzle needle 30 separates from a valve seat 15, and among fuel flowed in a fuel chamber 202 from a fuel passage 200, the fuel passed to the inner peripheral side on an inlet of the nozzle ports 22 from the outer peripheral side, collides with the wall 26, and is forcibly changed in the flowing direction toward the nozzle ports 22.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent injection of fuel from an injection hole from being influenced by a slide guide in a fuel injection valve having the slide guide guiding forward/backward movement of a valve element for opening/closing a valve.
      SOLUTION: The fuel injection valve is constructed so that fuel flowing down as a valve element side face flow F along the side face of the valve element 15 passes through a fuel passage 20, which is opened/closed by forward/backward movement of the valve element, toward an injection hole plate 19 to be sprayed from the injection hole 35. The valve element is moved forward/backward by sliding against a valve element surrounding part 17, and the sliding of the valve element is carried out via a guide part 18 formed by aligning a plurality of slide guides 41 between the valve element and the valve element surrounding part. In this fuel injection valve, when the slide guide is formed into a shape tapering off gradually from the valve element side to the valve element surrounding part, a deviated flow rate distribution PD biased to the valve element surrounding part is generated in the valve element side face flow having passed through the guide part.
