    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a fiber sizing agent that has excellent scouring properties in a post-processing step after weaving, is capable of providing adhesive properties such that a warp yarn breakage is suppressed and is capable of suppressing occurrence of removal of sizing agent; a sized yarn obtained by sizing with the fiber sizing agent obtained by the method; and a method for producing a woven fabric performed by using the fiber sizing agent.SOLUTION: A method for producing a fiber sizing agent comprises a neutralized product of a copolymer. The method includes: a copolymerization process for copolymerizing polymerizable components containing (meth)acrylic acid, (meth)acrylic acid ester-based monomer and styrene-based monomer by an emulsion polymerization; and a neutralization process for neutralizing the copolymer obtained by the copolymerization process.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aromatic polyamide staple fiber coping with the environmental change such as the speed-up of a production speed and the reduction of humidity in a process, and having improved processability in a carding process and improved resistance to needle breakage in a needle-punching process.

Preferably, the aromatic polyamide fiber is a polymetaphenylene isophthalamide fiber, the coefficient of the fiber-metal dynamic friction is 0.25-0.35, and the coefficient of the fiber-metal static friction is 0.3-0.4.
