    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater of which a heating part is compact by enlarging heat transfer area for a unit volume of a water heating device and which hardly causes boiling and has a high thermal efficiency by heating uniformly the whole of a face-shaped heating body.
      SOLUTION: A water heating device 1 is constituted of a face-shaped heating body 2 disposed at the center practically and formed like a convolution, a fitting 3 for fixing this body, a container for holding the whole of these parts, a water inlet 5 and a hot water outlet 6 provided in the end portions of the container and communicating with the inside thereof and power feeder lead-out ports 7 provided in the container and leading out power feeders 8 of the face- shaped heating body 2. In this case, the face-shaped heating body 2 is convolved with faces held at a narrow space of about 2 mm from each other by the fixing fitting 3 and the power feeders 8 are led out from the outermost peripheral portion of the convolution.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable plural back-washing patterns to be conducted by a single valve unit by a method wherein a circulation-clarification system is provided with a stator, a rotor rotating against the stator, and a valve unit capable of changing four water passages necessary for the circulation-clarification system according to a stop position of the rotor. SOLUTION: A bathtub is provided with a circulation passage for taking bathtub water out the bathtub ad returning the bathtub water to the bathtub again and a clarifying tank is provided on the circulation passage, and a valve unit on the circulation passage. In the valve unit a rotor 6 is superimposed on a stator 7 serving conbinedly as a body to allow the rotor 6 to be rotated by a motor. While the rotor 6 is provided with a port 6a communicating with a first introducing pipe, and a water passage 6b communicating with between ports formed on the stator 7, the stator 7 is provided with a port 7a connecting with a second introducing pipe, a port 7b connecting with a first returning pipe, a port 7c connecting with a second returning pipe, and a port 7d connecting with washing water piping.
