    • PURPOSE:To provide an electrostatic charge image developing toner excellent in light resistance and color-erasing property by allowing the mixtures of coloring toner particles into which a near infrared absorbing dye is compounded and sensitizer toner particles into which a color erasing agent is compounded to be present independently from each other. CONSTITUTION:This toner consists of coloring toner particles into which a near infrared absorbing dye expressed by formula I or formula II is compounded, and sensitizer toner particles into which a color erasing agent expressed by formula III is compounded. During developing and fixing, both toner particles are uniformly dispersed with a small frequency of contact of both toner particles so that the toner has excellent light resistance and storage stability. During erasing, the toner is heated to increase fluidity of the binder resin and to increase the frequency of contact of both toner particles, which improves the color erasing rate. In formulae, X is a halogen ion, etc., R -R are hydrogen, univalent hydroxyl groups, etc., Y is a cation, R -R are alkyl groups, aryl groups, etc., and R -R are hydrogen atoms, alkyl groups, etc.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a toner excellent in resistance against yellowing which can be erased with irradiation of near infrared rays by incorporating a specified dye which absorbs near infrared rays, decolorizing agent, and UV absorbent. CONSTITUTION:This toner contains a binder resin, dye which absorbs near infrared rays expressed by formula I or II, and decolorizing agent expressed by formula III. Further, an UV absorbent is incorporated by 0.2-30 pts.wt. to 100 pts.wt. of the binder resin. In formulae I-III, X is halogen ion, perchloric ion, etc., R -R are hydrogen atoms, hydrocarbon groups, etc., Y is cation having absorption characteristics in a near infrared region, R -R are alkyl groups, aryl groups, and at least one of them is an alkyl group of 1-12 carbon number, R -R are hydrogen atoms, alkyl groups, etc. When the process to form letters or pictures with this toner on a image supporting body such as copy paper and to erase the letters or pictures is repeated, the letters and images can be erased but give no decolorization to the supporting body so that the supporting body can be repeatedly used.
