    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface treated metal plate suitable for external building material such as roofing, excellent in terms of cost, wide usability and excellent solar heat reflective property. SOLUTION: This metal plate comprises a substrate having 40% or higher solar heat reflectance in visible light rays with wavelength range of 350-2100 nm and in a wavelength range of near infrared rays and a coating film containing 2-70 wt.% of a pigment having 20% of higher solar heat reflectance in near infrared rays with wavelength range of 800-2100 nm. In the case the coating film has an inner coating film, the same pigment is preferable to be added to the inner coating film. As a pigment of the inner coating film, it is also preferable to add a flaky aluminum pigment. If the content of the pigment in the inner coating film is less than 2%, the thickness of the inner coating film is preferably adjusted to be 10 μm or thinner. It is further preferable for the substrate to be coated with a coating film containing 50 wt.% of aluminum or more and having an oxide film of the coating film surface not thicker than 0.3 μm and to have 0.05-2.0 μm arithmetical mean deviation from mean line of the profile Ra of the substrate surface.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain an alloying hot dip galvanized steel sheet excellent in corrosion resistance with superior operation efficiency by subjecting a steel sheet to hot dipping and to alloying treatment and forming a film having a specific composition consisting of Fe, Al, Mg, Mn, Si, and Zn. CONSTITUTION:A steel sheet is subjected to hot dipping and to alloying treatment, and the content of Fe in a film on the resulting plated steel sheet is regulated to 7-17% by weight, and further, other components other than Fe in the film are regulated so that they consists of 0.3-2.4% Al, 0.5-2% Mg, 0.4-0.8% Nn, 0.005-0.3% Si, and the balance Zn with inevitable impurities. Among the components in the above film, Mg and Mn have a function of improving corrosion resistance. Moreover, the oxidation of a bath due to the addition of large amounts of Mg can be met by the addition of Al and the decrease in the alloying velocity due to Al can be met by the addition of Mn, and further, the excessive alloying accelerating action of Mn can be met by the addition of Si. By this method, the alloying hot dip galvanized steel sheet excellent in corrosion resistance can be obtained at a proper alloying velocity without causing the oxidation of the bath.

    • PURPOSE:To produce an alloying hot dip galvanized steel sheet excellent in corrosion resistance by incorporating specific amounts of Al and Mg or further Cu and/or Co into a plating layer at the time of applying alloying hot dip galvanizing to the surface of a steel sheet. CONSTITUTION:At the time of producing an alloying hot dip galvanized steel sheet used for automobile body, building material, household electrical appliance, etc., hot dipping is carried out by passing a steel sheet through a hot dip galvanizing bath, as a hot dipping bath, containing prescribed amounts of Al, Mg, and Cu and/or Co. Subsequently, heating is applied to the resulting plated steel sheet, e.g. up to 500 deg.C to subject Fe in the steel sheet and Zn in the plating bath to mutual diffusion, by which an alloying hot dip galvanizing layer which has a composition containing, by weight, 7-20% Fe and also containing, in the case where the total content of Zn, Al, Mg, Cu, and Co, excluding Fe, is 100%, 0.1-2% Al, 0.2-2% Mg, 0.1-1% Cu and/or Co is formed. By this method, the alloying hot dip galvanized steel sheet having extremely superior corrosion resistance can be obtained.
