    • PURPOSE: To provide high chromium steel excellent in high temp. strength, by a method wherein the composition of alloyed steel containing Cr is specified and the addition amount of Sol. Al is especially increased to enhance a pure degree and the reduction of high temp. strength is compensated by Nb added in a proper amount.
      CONSTITUTION: A high temp. high chromium steel contains 0.04W0.25% C, 1.0% or less Si, 0.45W1.0% Mn, 8W13% Cr, 0.5W30% Mo, 0.2W0.35% V, 0.01W0.07% Sol. Al, 0.015W0.1% Nb and, according to necessity, additional 1.0% or less Ni or 0.4W1.2% W and comprises the remainder Fe containing inevitable impurities. By increasing the amount of Sol. Al to a large extent, the pure degree of steel is remarkably increased and, as the result, sufficient high temp. strength is secured by adding a small amount of Nb and, therefore, the lowering of toughness and ductility can be inhibited.
