    • PURPOSE:To divide highly accurately KANA (Japanese syllabary) into a word to attain KANA/ KANJI (Chinese character) conversion by so forming the titled system that a character-string to be articulated is set from the inputted KANA-continuous sentence, then preliminary processing based on KANJI phonetics is executed, and further, auxiliary words characteristic to a normal independent word are extracted, then a character-string to be retrieved is set for the remaining characters in order to execute a lexical retrieval. CONSTITUTION:After the character-string is inputted to an input-character-string buffer 12 through an input keyboard 11, the articulation processing is executed by a KANJI phonetics preliminary processing part 13 using the KANJI phonetics memory 18 and a characteristic auxiliary word memory 19, and a part that frequently appear of the auxiliary words are extracted by means of the preliminary processing based on the KANJI phonetics. For the remainings of the character-string, a lexical retrieval part 14 retrieves a lexicon memory 20 to extract a KANJI character and output order for the phonetic represented by the KANA inputted. A top-order evaluating part 15 counts the length of the phonetics inputted to itself from the retrieval part 14, extracts the appearance-frequency of parts, and executes the evaluation as directly refering to a weight memory 21, and displays 17 the result through an output-word buffer 16. If modification is demanded through the keyboard 11, a specified word is displayed 17 caused by a selecting signal 22.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the capacity of a memory means and at the same time to increase the processing speed for test of connection by storing the stems of words having conjugation and the word endings of conjugation to an auxiliary work dictionary separately from each other and using an index part to shown the connecting relation between said word stems and word endings. CONSTITUTION:For instance, KANA (Japanese syllabary) is inputted for ''EGAKIDASU KOTO (drawing)''. In this case, it is first confirmed that the character train of ''EGA'' is equal to a word stem having five conjugations of KA-line through the independent word extraction processing. Then the grammer check processing is carried out to refer to an index table of an auxiliary word list 22 for a key to the information on parts of speech (serial number) of verbs having five conjugations of KA-line. Then the main body of the list 22 is searched. The collation is started from the head of the following ''KIDASU'', and it is known that ''KI'' is a form used for continuation. Thus a connection matrix list 17 is searched. As a result, it is analyzed as follows, that is, ''EGA'' is a word stem of a verb having conjugations, ''KI'' is a form used for continuation as the end of a verb having conjugations, ''DA'' is a stem of a suffix, ''SU'' is aparticipial adjective of a verb having conjugations, and ''KOTO'' is a style noun respectively. Then the reading part of an independent word is converted into KANJI (Chinese character) ''EGA'', and ''EGAKIDASU KOTO'' is delivered from an output editor device 14.

    • PURPOSE:To facilitate the processing of KANA-KANJI conversion, by changing the paragraph in accordance with the atribute for a Chinese character processing system in which an input sentence is decmposed into paragraphs centering on independent words and supplying them in the form of a KANA sentence and then by selecting the paragraph an operator desires. CONSTITUTION:An input sentence is decomposed into paragrahs centering on independent words by means of a control key and then supplied in the form of a KANA sentence. Then the information on English letter and numeric character paragraphs, etc. are recognized at an input preprocessing part 1, and then a KANA letter string to be converted is extracted to be sent to a word extracting part 2. Here the candidates of word strings which can be grammatically allowed are extracted with retrieval of a dictionary. While a homophone discriminating part 3 decides the most prominent candidate among word string candidates. An output control part 4 displays the corresponding characters for each paragraph. If the result of display is opposed to the desire of an operator, the decomposing method of paragraph is changed through the part 1. Then the extraction 2 of words and discrimination 3 of homophones for output control 4. As a result, the KANA-Chinese character conversion processing is facilitated.

    • PURPOSE:To decrease the time for the 1st conversion candidate display, by performing conversion operation through the replacement of the retrieval with a word dictionary into the retreval with the word dictionary of the 2nd ranking, in depressing the next candidate key. CONSTITUTION:A Kana-Kanji conversion processing is done with an input preprocessing section 1, a word pickup section 2, synonym discriminting section 3, an output control section 4, and a conversion control section 5, and when a Japanese sentence is inputted in Kana, the sentence is outputted as a sentence mixed with Kanji and Kana. In this system, the section 2 has a word dictionary which is stepwise sectioned into a plurality of areas depending on the frequency of usage. In the Kana-Kanji conversion processing, when the next candidate key instructing the next candidate is depressed by the number of the conversion candidates or more, that is, the candidate wanted by the operator is not obtained at the retrieval with the 1st word dictionary, further retrieval is done by using the 2nd word dictionary. In this system, the 2nd and 3rd candidates can be displayed in succesion to the candidate by the word dictionary having the word group of the highest frequency of usage by only depressing the next candidate key one after another.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the retrieval time up to the 1st stage and to improve the processing speed of document forming work, by providing two stages of a converted candidate retrieval range, extending the range at the 2nd stage if characters that the operator does not intend to output are displayed one after another at the 1st stage, and performing the conversion again. CONSTITUTION:An input preprocessing section 1 recognizes alphanumericals and clause delimiting information in inputted Kana sentences to extract Kana character strings and gives the Kana character strings to a word extracting section 2 as a conversion unit under controls of a conversion controlling section 5. The sections 2, 5 and a language controlling section 3 refer to a disctionary to extract the candidates of word strings permitted as the grammer and sentences mixed with Kanji and Kana are outputted from an output controlling section 4. Inextracting up the word strings, the conversion candidate retrieval range is defined as two states, and if characters that the operator does not want to output are displayed one after another at the 1st stage, the range is extended at the 2nd stage and the candidates are extracted through the conversion again. The retrieval time up to the 1st stage can be reduced and the processing speed of the document forming work can be improved.

    • PURPOSE:To determine an output order matched to the use inclination, by exchanging output order information between a word, which is selectively outputted from the output, and a homophone of the word which is outputted just before this output. CONSTITUTION:An independent word dictionary is divided into three parts, namely, a general independent word dictionary 18A, a proper noun dictionary 18B, and a numeral dictionary 18C; and in accordance with this division, a prefix table is divided into three parts, namely, a general prefix table 19A, a proper noun prefix dictionary 19B, and a prepositive auxiliary numeral table 19C, and a suffix table is divided into three parts, namely, a general suffix table 20A, a proper noun suffix table 20B, and a postpositive auxiliary numeral table 20C. These fractionized dictionaries and tables are so constituted that corresponding dictionaries and tables can be selected to be used for collation by interlocking changeover switches S1, S2, and S3. Thus, clauses are classified into categories and are inputted together with pertinent category information to improve the answer rate (correct conversion rate) of analysis.
