    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a property of discharging bubbles and to improve a reliability of a head by a constitution wherein a pressurizing liquid chamber, a common liquid chamber and an ink supplying passage are partitioned by an ink liquid chamber partition member having plural layers, an inlet wall is also formed of the partition member and the inlet wall is curved. SOLUTION: An ink jet head comprises an actuator unit having a piezoelectric element and a liquid chamber unit. The liquid chamber unit is so constituted that a thin film vibration plate, an ink chamber partition member 29 and a nozzle plate 32 are sequentially laminated. The ink chamber partition member 29 is so constituted that first-fifth photosensitive resin layers 51-55 are laminated from the side of the vibration plate. An inlet of an ink supply passage 35 is formed of the first photosensitive resin layer 51 which is mostly away from a nozzle 31. An angle section is removed from a wall section 35a of the inlet of the ink supply passage 35 so that the wall section 35a is in a curved shape. As a result, a property of discharging bubbles is enhanced and an initial filling ability of ink is improved.

    • PURPOSE:To allow the conversion of a resolution with high accuracy by providing a driving means for turning a plate member in a sub-scanning direction, a detecting means for detecting the diameter of a light beam and a control means for changing the diameter of the light beam by controlling the energization to the driving means. CONSTITUTION:The beam diameter on the surface of a photosensitive drum is changed to change the resolution by utilizing the change in the diameter of the light beam past an exit port 65a by an aperture 60 which inclines by receiving force from the magnetic fields by yokes 53 to 55 and permanent magnets 57, 58 when the coil of the aperture 60 is energized. Namely, the light beam emitted form the beam exit port 65a is detected by the detecting means 74 and the control means 76 controls the energization to the driving means, thereby changing the diameter of the light beam emitted from the beam exit port 65a. The diameter is surely changed to the specified diameter of the light beam in this way. The conversion of the resolution with the high accuracy is thus executed.

    • PURPOSE:To shorten the spindle and obtain a small-sized, low-cost motor by forming a dynamic pressure fluid bearing of the thrust bearing plate of a boss part and a spindle end surface, and herringbone grooves and an opposite surface. CONSTITUTION:The dynamic pressure fluid bearing as a radial bearing is formed of the plural herringbone grooves 7a and 7b formed in the spindle 3 of the scanner motor 1 and the opposite surface 88 formed on the boss part 5 of a disk 4. Further, the dynamic pressure fluid bearing as a thrust bearing is formed of the thrust bearing plate 15 which is fixed to one end of the boss part 5 and has a spiral groove 14 and the spindle end surface. The dynamic pressure effect of liquid (oil) is utilized to make the rigidity of the radial bearing sufficiently large, the bearing interval is reduced for waving rotation due to the eccentricity of the disk, and the spindle is made short to reduce the thickness of the motor.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for precise working accuracy of a journal and to reduce cost by providing a foil bearing provided radially with leaves having electricity between the journal and air bearing hole. CONSTITUTION:A rotor 30 rotates in a floating state when a plunger 39 is attracted by a coil 41 for thrust while high-frequency current is kept passed to a stator coil 40. A relative speed of the journal 31 and the foil bearing 36 increases and air flow 50 is generated in the same direction as the rotating direction of the journal 31 by the viscosity resistance of the air when the number of revolutions of the rotor 30 increases. The air flow 50 flows into a spacing 49 between the journal 31 and the leaves 48. Since the spacing 49 is narrowed to a wedge shape, the air flow 50 increases its pressure as the air flow is confined into the deep part of the spacing 49. The leaves 48 are then elastically deformed outward to increase the spacing and, therefore, the journal 31 rotates at a high speed without contact with the leaves 48 while the journal is held afloat radially in the air bearing hole 34.
