CONSTITUTION:The molten metal 14 is charged into the converter 10 and slag making agent is charged into the converter 10, to form the slag 16. To the molten metal 14, for example pretreated molten iron for producing V series high tension steel, O2 gas is blown from a lance 24 and also Ar gas is blown from tuyeres 12 to start complex blowing. At the time of initial stage of the blowing, the decarbonizing reaction is mainly executed and as the carbonization is progressed and the supplied O2 quantity becomes excess-state and O2 concn. in the molten metal is increased and quantities of V2O5, FeO, MnO, etc., in the slag are increased and the oxygen blowing is finished and then, V concn. in the molten metal is reduced. Next, V ore, Al powder and Fe-Si are charged by the necessary quantities and the Ar gas is blown into the molten metal 14 through tuyeres 12. By this method, the molten metal 14 and the slag 16 are stirred to promote reducing reaction and the V is recovered into the molten metal 14 from the slag 16.

CONSTITUTION:While stirring the molten iron 2 in the converter 1 by N2 gas blowing through a plug 4, O2 gas is blown into the molten iron 2 from a lance 3 and refined to produce the molten steel. Since the refining starts, after passing the prescribed time, sampling of the molten steel is executed with a sub-lance and C concn. in the molten steel is measured, to calculate the C content (C0) in the molten steel. Further, after this sampling, CO and CO2 concn. in the exhaust gas are measured with an analyzer 6 and the integrating quantity of C in the exhaust gas is continuously found from these concns. and flowing quantity of the exhaust gas measured with a flow meter 7. By this method, C content in the molten steel at some timing after sampling can be found by subtracting the C integrating quantity in the exhaust gas at this timing from the C content C0 in the molten steel and the purpose can be obtd.

    • PURPOSE:To produce the title cast iron having high mechanical strength and toughness at a low cost by dephosphorizing molten iron in two stages to adjust the composition of the pretreated molten iron, and supplying the molten iron in a casting mold to cast the molten iron into a specified shape. CONSTITUTION:Blast-furnace molten iron is pretreated to reduce the content of impurities, especially phosphorus, to adjust the composition of the pretreated molten iron, and the molten iron is cast into a specified shape. In such a dephosphorizing stage, the molten iron is deslagged, the slag is removed, and the process is repeated twice. By this method, reinfiltration of phosphorus into the molten iron is practically prevented, the content of phosphorus is remarkably reduced, and the toughness can be increased. In addition, since the carbon content of the blast-furnace molten iron is close to the carbon content of the cast iron, the carbon content of the molten iron need not be sharply reduced. Moreover, since the cost of the blast-furnace molten iron itself is low, the production cost can be remarkably reduced.

    • PURPOSE:To produce a cast iron having high mechanical strength and ductility at low cost by reducing impurity content in molten iron of a blast furnace, adjusting component contents, raising molten iron temp. and casting into the prescribed shape to execute in order each process. CONSTITUTION:By blowing desiliconizing agent into the molten iron tapping from the blast furnace, Si content is reduced from about 0.3wt.% to about 0.1%, and after removing the desiliconized slag, desulfurization is executed by mechanical stirring type desulfurizing method and sulfur content is reduced from about 0.03% to about 0.001% and the desulfurized slag is removed. Next, while stirring the molten iron, oxygen source and Ca contained material are supplied and phosphorous content is reduced from about 0.1% to about 0.01% and dephosphorized slag is removed, to complete pretreatment of the molten iron. Further, after finely adjusting carbon content in the molten iron, the silicon is added, to adjust the silicon content, and the molten iron is heated and after raising the molten iron temp. to about 1,450 deg.C so as to cast, Mg is added and the casting is executed as quick as possible, to produce the product having the prescribed shape.

    • PURPOSE:To manufacture low carbon steel with a high Mn yield, by throwing substance contg. Mn while less slag blowing the molten pig iron having reduced phosphor content in converter, finishing the blowing at a state of high carbon concn. and decarburizing by vacuum degassing treatment. CONSTITUTION:At first, molten pig tapped from a blast furnace is pretreated to reduce phosphor content to about 0.01%. The molten pig is charged into converter for less slag blowing and Mn ore is thrown so that a prescribed quantity of Mn is contained in converter during blowing. this time, since slag quantity in molten pig is little, added Mn quantity is low and Mn yield is high. At the time point when blowing is advanced and carbon content in molten steel is decreased to about 0.1%, converter blowing is ended, the molten pig is taken out from the converter and charged in to an RH vacuum degassing vessel. Pressure in the vessel is reduced, the molten steel is vacuum degassing treated, decarburized and carbon content is reduced to about
