Thus, the photo detection angle characteristic complying with the cosine law can be obtained regardless of changes in the size of the photoelectric element 8.

    • PURPOSE:To alter a light waveform instantaneously by writing and reading the contents of a memory stored with data for obtaining an optional light waveform and the contents of a memory stored with data constituting a light waveform in and out of an external memory in a pair. CONSTITUTION:The memory 11 is stored with plural data for controlling the light waveform with time, and those data are outputted to a D/A conversion part 12 and an arithmetic part 15 successively. The converted data are supplied to a light source part 13; part of the output light of the light source part 13 is viewed with an observer's eye 14 and the remainder is guided to a photodetection part 17. The signal of the photodetection part 17 is outputted to the arithmetic part 15 through an A/D conversion part 16. A data input part 19 inputs plural data constituting the light waveform and stores them in a memory 18. The arithmetic part 15 compares the signal of the conversion part 16 with the data of the memory 18 to correct the data of the memory 11, and the data of the memories 11 and 18 are written in and read out of the external memory 10 in a pair. Thus, the time when the light waveform is shaped is eliminated and the light waveform is altered instantaneously and outputted.

      SOLUTION: This hydrogen gas detection sensor for detecting hydrogen gas by converting thermoelectrically heat generated by a catalytic reaction between the hydrogen gas and a catalyst to detect a generated voltage is provided with a prescribed thickness of thermoelectric variable film 2, a catalyst film 3 layered via an insulating film 13 in a substantial half of one side on a thermoelectric variable film 2 surface, and a heating means 9 for heating the catalyst film 3 up to a prescribed temperature. The catalyst film 3 carries a platinum (Pt) fine particles on a particle of a metal oxide, and a temperature change generated with the heat by the catalytic reaction of oxidation due to contact between the hydrogen gas and the catalyst film 3 is detected to detect the hydrogen gas.
