    • PURPOSE:To complete solidification in a target position and to maximize and quantity of heat contained by setting tracking points in the cooling zone of a continuous casting machine, forecasting the position where the solidification completes and the quantity of heat contained and operating optimum flow rates of cooling water. CONSTITUTION:Plural tracking points are set on a steel material from the molten metal level position of a mold up to a cutter. In a scheduling section 101 for cooling of steel materials in a control mechanism, the time when the specific tracking points arrive at the target position where the solidification completes in determined from the speeds of pinch rolls, etc. In an estimating section 103 for the cooling state of steel material, the quantity of the heat contained in the steel materials and the thickness of shells at the respective tracking points are calculated. In accordance with both sets of the information, the cooling water flow rates in the respective cooling zones for the purpose of optimum cooling at the respective tracking points are determined in a calculating section 102 for optimum cooling patterns, and the thus determined values are fed to a setting part 104 for flow rates, by which the flow rates of the cooling water in the respective zones are controlled.

    • PURPOSE:To stably operate a motor even at a decelerating time by detecting an accelerating or decelerating current component, subtracting the component by the main circuit of the motor, and feeding back the load current component of the motor thus obtained. CONSTITUTION:A primary delay differentiating circuit 10 and a gain multiplier 11 are added to the conventional circuit having a motor controlling circuit 1, a field voltage coefficient unit 2, a motor torque transmitter 4, and a drooping circuit 4. A motor load current is detected or calculted, a contant is multiplied by the obtained load current, and the product thus obtained is fed back to a rotating speed command value, and the speed of the motor is controlled. Since the drooping compensation can be performed without affect of the accelerating or decelerating current even when the drooping constant is different at every motor or an entirely different accelerating or decelerating current flows though a plurality of motors in this manner, it can suppress the variation of the tension occurred at the rolled material or strip steel plate.

    • PURPOSE:To control rolling speeds and prevent the tension between stands by obtaining the rolling speed correcting value corresponding to the tension from the ratio between the rolling torques of the own stand under rolling and the adjacent stand and rolling load and the ratio between roll radii and rolling load. CONSTITUTION:When a rolling material is bitten in a stand 1, rolling torque and rolling load are detected and the ratio therebetween is operated by a divider 15 and is stored in the memory device 16a of a control system HTFC25. Next, when it is bitten in a stand 2, the torque arm equivalent amount of the stand 2 is operated from the outputs of the memory device 16a which stores the output of the divider 15 of the stand 1 and the divider 19 and is stored in a memory device 16b. And the difference in the output between the dividers 15 of the stands 1, 2 and the difference in output between the memory devices 16a and 16b are obtaind and a command is given to a control system ASR13 so that these differences become zero, whereby the speed of the stand 1 is controlled. Thence, when the material is bitten in a stand 3, its torque arm equivalent amount is stored in a memory device 16C and from the difference between the 1st and 2nd dividers 15, the speed of the stand 1 is so controlled that the difference in output between the memory divices 16a and 16b is made zero. At the same time, the speed of the stand 3 is so controlled that the value subtracting the difference in output between the memory devices 16b, 16c from the difference in output between the dividers 15 of the stands 2, 3 is made zero.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the productivity and yield, by installing the measuring and transmitting device for the sheet thickness on the outlet side of each rolling stand, and the setter for the aim sheet thickness and aim tension, etc., and by arranging the controller to minimize the dispersion of the sheet thickness and tension from the aim values within a specified period of time. CONSTITUTION:In plural rolling mills 11-1n, before starting the rolling work, the schedule setter 150 inputs the aim thickness and the aim tension to the operator 140, which then operates the forward slip and outputs the result of operation to the thickness operator 120, tension operator 130, and the controlled variable operator 100. After the rolling work is started, the tension operator 130 inputs the motor current 71-7n for every specified time interval, and operates the stand tension, and outputs the result to the thickness operator 120. The thickness operator 120 inputs the speed data 51-5n, thickness data 41, 42, and operates the outlet side thickness between the stands, and outputs the result to the tracking unit 110 and the controlled variable operator 100. The operator 100 operates the controlled variable required for minimizing the dispersion of the thickness and tension due to the deviation from each value, and controls the roll speed and the draft position through the controllers 80, 90.

    • PURPOSE:The rolling mill which can prevent the rolling trouble, etc., due to the impact drop, by making possible the work rolls to move forward and backward along the rolling direction. CONSTITUTION:When the rolled material A is fed to rolls 3, 4, an impact drop is given to the roll speed; however, the work roll chocks 2, 5, are thrusted by the rolled material A according to the force of thrusting the rolled material A; therefore, the work rolls 3, 4, are moved forward by the spring 11, continuing to bite the rolled material A. Accordingly, the slack in the rolled material A, usually generated by the impact drop, is absorbed by the movement of work rolls, so that the slack does not generate. Besides, even though a tension generates in the rolling work depending on the unbalance in the rotational speed of rolls, this tension pulls the rolls 3, 4, so that the tension is absorbed. The spring, other elastic body, oil, air, etc., can be suitably employed for supporting the roll chocks.
