SOLUTION: This compound is represented by formula I (R1 and R2 are each H, a halogen, an aryl, an alkyl, cyano, acyl, carbamoyl or the like; R3 is an electron-attractive group having a Hammett's substituent constant σp of >=0.20), typically 2-(4-chlorophenyl)-3-(2,6-di-t-butyl-4-methyl) cyclohexyloxycarbonyl-5-amino-6-acetyl-pyrrolo[1,2-a]pyrimidine. The compound of formula I is prepared by reaction of an amino group-bearing pyrrolo[1,2- a]pyrimidine of formula II with a compound of the formula: R3-X (X is a halogen).

SOLUTION: The thermosensitive recording material comprises a diazonium salt, a coupler, and a base in such a manner that a coupling reaction constant at 100 deg.C is 0.1 or more and a maximum absorption wavelength λmax of a dye generated by a reaction of the salt and the coupler is 600 nm or more. In this case, embodiments of the wavelength of the diazonium of 330 to 390 nm, pKa of the coupler of 2 to 13, pKa of the base of 4 to 13 and the salt represented by Ar-N2+X (wherein Ar is an aromatic group part, and X is an acid anion) are preferable.

In the formula II, R4 -R7 are respectively a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group, an aralkyl group, an alkyloxy group, an aryloxy group, alkylthio group, an arylthio group, an acyl group, an alkoxycarbonyl group, an acyloxy group, a carbamoyl group, a sulfamoyl group, a halogen atom, a cyano group or a nitro group. Therefore, the lowering of developed color density can be reduced.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve a stability in transparency of a heat-sensitive layer by using a compound having a predetermined composition as at least a part of a color developer. CONSTITUTION:As at least a part of a color developer, a compound shown by a formula I is used. Wherein, R represents hydrogen, halogen, alkoxy, alkyl, or phenyl, and Ar represents aryl which may have substituents. Since this color developer is very easily soluble in an organic solvent, the amount of an organic solvent used for dissolving the color developer can be reduced to approximately 1/4 of the amount of the prior art. In this manner, the sensitivity of a thermal recording material can be remarkably improved.
