    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently purify, contaminated soil, in purifying soil contaminated with a volatile org. compd. by utilizing bacteria, by forming a purified soil region containing an org. compd. adsorbing material to a contaminated region and extracting air containing a contaminant therefrom to circulate the extracted air to the contaminated region. SOLUTION: In purifying contaminated soil, an injection soln. containing a decomposing bacteria material and a volatile org. compd. adsorbing material is injected into a contaminated soil region 17 by a liquid injection unit 11 through an injection pipe 13 to provide a purified soil region 18. Air containing the contaminant in the contaminated soil region 17 is extracted through the extraction pipe 15 embedded in the contaminated soil region 17 and connected to an air circulating unit 12. After the air component compsn. of extracted air is measured by a component measuring element to be adjusted, the extracted air is again circulated to the purified soil region 18 through the injection pipe 13. Air containing the contaminant of the contaminated soil region 17 is sucked and extracted from the injection port 14 of the injection pipe 13 to be circulated to the purified soil region 18 through the air circulating unit 12 and a suction port 16.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a problem of secondary pollution, in purifying contaminated soil at a position lower than a ground water level, by arranging water pumping-up equipments sucking underground water up to a position lower than a contaminated stratum in a state surrounding a contaminated region and passing contaminated air through a bacteria decomposing region to purify the same to discharge purified air from the ground. SOLUTION: A plurality of water pumping-up equipments 1 are connected to a pump 3 in a state surrounding a contaminated region (c) so that the respective leading points of them are set to a position lower than the contaminated region (c). Sand columns 4 high in voids are formed around the water pumping-up equipments and air injection pipes covering the surfaces of the sand columns 4 are connected to the exhaust port of a pump 7 to supply air to the contaminated region (c) from the pump 7 through the sand columns 4. Further, an injection pipe 8 is connected to a decomposing bacteria soln. tank 16 and a bacteria activating soln. tank 17 to inject bacteria and a bacteria activating substance into the contaminated region (c) from an injection port. The part of the injection pipe 8 above the injection port is also covered with a sand column 9 and the suction pipe 10 covering the surface of the sand column 9 is connected to the suction port of the pump 7 to suck air in the ground.

    • PURPOSE: To protect damages to rods by installing a shock absorbing means to a rod receiving part of a rod magazine and a rod clamp device and supporting a rod housed in the magazine movably in the longitudinal direction of the rod. CONSTITUTION: An inner pipe Ri and an outer pipe Ro housed in a rod magazine 2 are supported respectively by way of an inner pipe support pin 23a and an outer pipe receiving material 26 while type are elastically supported with springs 27 and 28 in a movable state in the longitudinal direction. Then, an outer pipe clamp 4 and an inner pipe clamp 5 of a clamp device 3 are elastically supported substantially in a similar fashion. Then, when a drifter of a boring machine is connected to and removed from the inner pipe Ri and the outer pipe Ro, if the forward length or the backward length of the drifter is too longer than its screw length and the pipes Ri and Ro are subjected to the thrust of the drifter, the inner pipe Ri and the outer pipe Ro will move by an extra movement of the drifter by the shrinkage of springs 27 and 28. This construction makes is possible to protect a thread ridge from being crushed and the rod magazine and the clamps or the like from being damaged.
