    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an additive for an optical film which can be blended into the optical film such as a polarizing plate-protective film without reducing transparency and chemical resistance thereof and can give sufficient ultraviolet absorption properties to the optical film over a long period of time, and to provide an optical film containing the same, and a polarizing plate and a liquid crystal display device each of which uses the optical film. SOLUTION: The additive for an optical film is a copolymer of 10-50 mass% of at least one ultraviolet absorbing monomer (A) selected from a benzophenone-based ultraviolet absorbing monomer represented by formula (1) and a benzotriazole-based ultraviolet absorbing monomer represented by formula (2), 5-50 mass% of at least one halogen-containing monomer (B) selected from halogen-containing monomers represented by formulas (3) and (4), and 20-80 mass% of a vinyl monomer (C) copolymerizable with these monomers, wherein the copolymer has a weight average molecular weight of 5,000 to 100,000.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shrink film in which long-term storage can be carried out without generating blocking of a roll in a state stored at ordinary temperature, and low-temperature shrink properties, resistance to natural shrinkage and ultraviolet ray-blocking property are improved while maintaining appearance and machinability, and an acrylic copolymer used for obtaining the shrink film.
      SOLUTION: The acrylic copolymer is obtained by copolymerizing 5-65 mass% at least one kind of ultraviolet ray-absorbing monomer selected from a benzophenone-based ultraviolet ray-absorbing monomer and a benzotriazole-based ultraviolet ray-absorbing monomer as an essential comonomer component. The acrylic copolymer has ≥10,000 number-average molecular weight (Mn) expressed in terms of polystyrene and 1.0-3.0 molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) represented by a ratio of a mass average molecular weight (Mw) expressed interms of polystyrene to Mn and 0-100°C glass transition temperature (Tg). The shrink film in which a coated film of the coating agent is formed is obtained by applying a coating agent containing the acrylic copolymer to a shrink film.

      SOLUTION: The refrigerant for the cathode-ray tube of the projection tube contacts with the projection tube and a plastic made lens for expanding and projecting video radiated from a fluorescent surface of the cathode-ray tube of the projection tube to cool the fluorescent surface of the cathode-ray tube. The refrigerant contains glycerin as a required component, the refractive index is 1.446 or higher (30°C) or 1.436 or higher (60°C), and viscosity is 210 mPa.s (30°C) or 50 mPa.s or lower (60°C).
