The cooling liquid tank 32 is arranged within the coolant tank 11. The coolant flow path (grinding liquid flow path 13) in which the coolant L1 flows, and the cooling liquid flow path 31 in which the cooling liquid L2 flows are provided by means of separate lines.

When the travel direction of the wire 11 is inverted, angles of the wire 11 between the bobbins 12A, 12B and traversers 16A, 16B to axial lines of rotation of the bobbins 12A, 12B are detected. According to detection results, the traversers 16A, 16B are moved and adjusted to correct positions of the traversers 16A, 16B so that the angles of the wire 11 are 90°.
