When a signal obtained from the process IC 101 is a color difference signal, color difference signals R-Y and B-Y are inputted respectively to the 1st and 2nd clamp circuits 21, 22 and the input of the 3rd clamp circuit 23 is connected to ground.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for adjustment and to prevent deterioration in characteristic by forming an analog waveform video signal form a color signal of digital waveform by digital arithmetic in converting a digital color signal into a video signal. CONSTITUTION:A digital D-LPF 16 applies an arithmetic operation of the same characteristic as that of a LPF with respect to a luminance signal component generated from a luminance signal component generating section 13 to suppress the disturbance of a chrominance carrier signal. Further, a digital D=BPF 17 applies an arithmetic operation of the same characteristic as that of a BPF to the color difference signal component to suppress the disturbance to a luminance signal component. The luminance signal component subjected to low-pass arithmetic and the chrominance carrier signal subjected to band pass arithmetic include the digital videos signal component added by an adder 18. The video signal component is latched once by latch to match timing and a D/A converter 20 converts it into an analog video signal.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the beat disturbance between the fundamental wave and the 3rd harmonic by applying FM modulation to a signal once at a high frequency at modulation and applying frequency conversion to a signal into a carrier frequency at the transmission. CONSTITUTION:The signal subjected to FM modulation at a high carrier frequency is fed to a frequency conversion circuit 16, where the signal is multiplied with a 3.58MHz sinusoidal wave, and for example, as to a color difference signal R-Y, the signal whose carrier frequency is 4.78+3.58=8.36MHz and 4.78-3.58=1.2MHz is obtained. Thus, the carrier frequency 1.2MHz is extracted from a low pass filter 17 and the sum frequency 8.36MHz component is eliminated. Since the 3rd harmonic component in both the sum and difference frequency components being the multiplication with the 3. 58MHz signal is 11MHz orover, the component is eliminated by the low pass filter 17. Thus, the FM wave from the low pass filter 17 is a sinusoidal wave only and the effect of the 3rd harmonic is not caused at the demodulation.

The phases of reference pulses Sb at the leading point of time of the pulse PB of the control pulse SCB are set so that they are always equal at all the vertical blanking periods VBLK, the VCO 3 stops the oscillation at a low level period of the control pulse SCB at the low level period of the control pulse SCB and starts the oscillation at the leading from the low to the high level, and the phase of an output signal VR-Y is always kept constant at the oscillation start point of time.
