    • PURPOSE: To perform a traveling in the direction of pulling a hose without need of force by making a cleaner main body travel by a steering and driving means and performing a steering in a steering means by a direction control means in the lead-out direction of a suction hose detected in a direction detection means. CONSTITUTION: This cleaner is provided with a power source 16, a motor-driven blower 2, a dust collecting chamber 3 and the steering and driving means 10 and 12-14 for moving a main body 1. Also, a suction nozzle is attached to one end of the suction hose 6 whose other end is attached to the outside of the main body 1. Further, the lead-out direction from the main body 1 of the suction hose 6 is detected in the direction detection means 5 and 7-9, and the steering and driving means are controlled by output from the direction detection means in the direction control means 28. That is, since steering and driving are both performed by using motors 10 and 13 for a heavy cleaner main body to which the power source 16, that is a battery, is mounted, the cleaner main body is moved in the direction of pulling the hose without the need of the force.

    • PURPOSE: To make uniform the state of cleaning on the surface of a floor by alternately opening/closing solenoid valves successively for every rotary pad so that the quantity of detergent to be diffused per unit area can become a set value from the traveling speed information of a traveling body. CONSTITUTION: When the cleaning device starts cleaning and the traveling speed of a traveling body from a speed detector 42 installed on the driving wheels of the traveling body is inputted to a solenoid valve opening/closing time operating device 43, this device 43 operates and output the opening time of left and right solenoid valves 31 and 32 corresponding to the traveling speed so that the quantity to be dispersed per unit area can be equal with the set value of quantity to be dispersed set to a dispersing quantity setter 41. A solenoid valve driving device 44 to be operated according to the output of this solenoid valve opening/closing time arithmetic device 43 repeatedly and alternately opens/closes the left and right solenoid valves 31 and 32 and detergent liquid 21 is supplied to the central parts of left and right rotary pads 31 and 32. The rotary pads 31 and 32 uniformly diffuse this detergent liquid onto the surface of floor while rotating.

    • PURPOSE: To automatically travel a cleaner in the pulling direction of a sucking hose without requiring any power for moving it by providing a means for detecting the deriving direction of the sucking hose from the main body, a means for controlling a steering and driving means, and a means for detecting the loosening of the sucking hose. CONSTITUTION: When an operator moves forward away from the main body 1 and pulls the sucking hose 6 during cleaning, loosening is eliminated, the sucking hose 6 gets out of the detection zone of the loosening detecting means 7, the state of disabling the detection of the hose 6 is generated, a relay is closed, a driving motor 13 is operated, and the main body 1 is traveled. At such a time, a steering motor 10 is operated by rotary volumes 8 and 11 and a differential amplifier 17 corresponding to the deriving direction of the hose 6 and since steering and driving wheels 14 are turned toward the deriving direction of the hose 6, the main body 1 is traveled in the deriving direction of the hose 6. Thus, a high-operability self-traveling cleaner can be operated for automatically moving the main body 1 of cleaner in the pulling direction of the sucking hose 6 without requiring any power while using the motor 10 for both steering and driving.
