摘要： PURPOSE: To automatically travel a cleaner in the pulling direction of a sucking hose without requiring any power for moving it by providing a means for detecting the deriving direction of the sucking hose from a main body, a means for controlling a steering a driving means, and a detecting means for detecting the pulling power of the sucking hose. CONSTITUTION: When an operator moves forward away from a main body 1 and pulls the sucking hoes 6 during cleaning, a tension detection stand 5C is reclined forward, a tension transmission plate 5D is moved with this reclining, a microswitch 7 is turned on, a driving motor 13 is operated and a main body 1 is traveled. At such a time, a steering motor 10 is operated by rotary volumes 8 and 11 and a differential amplifier 17 corresponding to the deriving direction of the hose 6 and since steering and driving wheels 14 are turned toward the deriving direction of the hose 6, the main body 1 is traveled in the deriving direction of the hose 6. Thus, a high-operability self-traveling cleaner can be provided for automatically moving the main body 1 in the pulling direction of the hose without requiring any power while using the motor 10 for both steering and driving.

摘要： PURPOSE: To change a direction without moving a main body backward even when the main body moves into a perpendicular corner part and gets proximate to a wall by circularly forming the bottom face of the main body. CONSTITUTION: A motor-driven air blower 15 is mounted inside, and a sucking nozzle 4 is attached over the entire diameter part of bottom part of a main body 3 of which the bottom face is formed circular. Besides, a main body 3 is traveled by rotating the driving wheels 5 and 5' through a traveling motor 6, and the traveling direction of the main body is changed by rotating the driving wheels horizontally to the main body through a steering motor 7. Further, the traveling speed of the main body is detected by a speed sensor 8, the traveling direction of the main body is detected by a direction sensor 9, an obstacle at the time of main body traveling is detected by an obstacle sensor 10 and at a judgement processor 11, the motors 6 and 7 are controlled by processing the outputs of sensors 8-10.
