    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of controlling unload standby time of a hard disk drive.
      SOLUTION: The method of controlling unload standby time of a hard disk drive includes a process S302 for waiting until the unload standby time passes while the hard disk drive is in idle state, a process S310 for counting the frequency of unloading operations wherein, every time when the unload standby time passes, a head is unloaded and the frequency of accumulated unloading operations by the hard disk drive is calculated, and a process S312 for resetting the unload standby time according to the calculated frequency of accumulated unloading operations. Thus, the standby time for unloading is adjusted according to the frequency of the accumulated unloading operations so as to minimize the risk of damaging data.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of a recording carrier due to the tracing of same track for longer than a specific time and to prevent the functional trouble of a utilizing device due to an interruption in reproducing operation by providing a time limit setting device which specifies the reproducing operation and a detector which detects the state of the utilizing device which utilizes reproduced information. CONSTITUTION:When a switch S1 is opened, the Q output of an RS-FF20 goes up to a high level and a switch S2 is closed to start reproduction. On the other hand, the timer 24 of a time-limiting device 21 starts clocking operation unless switches S3 and S4 are off, and an input C of an AND gate 25 goes down to a low level at the same time. When the utilizing device is not in operation, an input (d) of the gate 25 is at the low level, but when the utilizing device is disconnected or completes its operation, a detection signal Sin is supplied to a detector 26 and the input (d) goes up to the high level; and the Q output of the FF20 is inverted to the low level to stop the reproducing operation. Further, the output of an inverter 22 is inverted to the high level and the timer 24 is reset.

    • PURPOSE: To obtain an electronic recording type still camera of a miniature structure which has an assured operation of each part with high quality, by using individual motors to actuate the rotary mechanism of a magnetic recording sheet and other parts of a camera.
      CONSTITUTION: A motor M1 is used to revolve a magnetic sheet and requires a constant speed and high-speed response; while a motor M2 is used to drive each mechanism part of a camera and requires mainly a driving torque. The member to be driven of the motor M2 is started and stopped repetitively; while the magnetic sheet revolved by the motor M1 is required to revolve continuously not only in a photographing mode but in a preparatory mode for photographing in order to improve the quick shooting performance. Therefore individual motors are used for both modes. A disk driving shaft 25 connected to the motor M1 via a belt 26 uses such a material and a form to increases the moment of inertia so as to ensure a function of a flywheel to maintain revolutions of a constant speed.
