    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce damage to data caused by a communication error, in the system in which data are read or written from the main body of an image forming apparatus into the RFID tag of a replacement component. SOLUTION: A CPU 112 outputs a command with a CRC sign for detecting a communication error. A reading/writing device 120 detects an error in a CRC relative to the command. If there are no errors, the reading/writing device 120 transmits the command with the CRC sign to an RFID tag 210 as it is. If there is some errors, the reading/writing device 120 registers the errors into the status register in the device. The CPU 112 monitors the status register, and transmits the command with the CRC sign again upon detecting an error.
