    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a needle bearing which stably reduces rotational torque and which allows oil amount control comparable to a bush.
      SOLUTION: A flange 16 having an end of an outer ring 12 bent radially inward and bent axially inward is formed on one side in an axial direction of an outer ring 12 of a needle bearing 10. A retaining ring 22 is arranged inward in an axial direction of the flange 16 of the outer ring 12 while being suitable for an locking groove 27 formed in a shaft body 26 and fixed on it. A groove 24 having a depth in an axial direction is formed in a side facing the flange 16 of the retaining ring 22 so as to extend circumferentially. A chip of the flange 16 of the outer ring 12 is inserted into the groove 24 in the retaining ring 22. Sides of both sides of the groove 24 in the retaining ring 22 and sides of both sides of the flange 16 are located adjacent to each other in a non-contact state to form a labyrinth.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shell type roller bearing which achieves reduction of the cost and extension of the life, and exhibits enhanced sealing performance.
      SOLUTION: The shell type roller bearing 21 included in a throttle valve device 20 and rotatably supporting a throttle shaft includes: a shell type outer ring 22 having a flange part of which periphery is bent to a radial direction inner side on both ends; a roller 23 arranged along an inside diameter face of the shell type outer ring; and a seal 11 without a core metal for assembling the shell type roller bearing assembled in the inside diameter side of the shell type outer ring. After thermal treatment of the shell type outer ring 22 in the state wherein the roller 23 is assembled, the seal 11 without the core metal for assembling the shell type roller bearing is elastically deformed and the seal 11 without the core metal for assembling the shell type roller bearing gets over the flange part 26 and is assembled in the inside of the shell type outer ring 22. The roller 23 has a nitrogen enrichment layer in a surface layer part, and a remaining austenite amount in the nitrogen enrichment layer is 20 volume% or more.

Guide surfaces 5c and 5d against an inner ring members S are formed on a tip side and a base end side of the inner diameter portion 53 at an inner periphery, respectively.
