    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric conversion device and a dye-sensitized solar cell capable of achieving both high photoelectric conversion efficiency and high durability at a high level, while suppressing degradation in performance caused by moisture, and of further suppressing variation in performance.SOLUTION: A photoelectric conversion device has: a conductive substrate; a semiconductor fine particle layer; an electric charge transfer body; and a counter electrode. A surface of a semiconductor fine particle in the semiconductor fine particle layer carries a metal complex dye represented by the following formula (1): MLLXY. (Here, M represents Fe, Ru, or Os; Lrepresents a bidentate, tridentate, or tetradentate ligand having a nitrogen-containing aromatic heterocyclic skeleton having an acidic group; Lrepresents a specific ligand; X represents a monodentate or bidentate ligand; mX represents an integer of 0-3; Y represents a counter ion if the counter ion is required for neutralizing electric charge; and mY represents the number of Y required for making the electric charge of the whole metal complex dye of the formula (1) be zero, and is chosen from integers of 0-2.)
