    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solenoid operated valve mechanism for solving a problem of a well-known structure, in which an inlet pressure of pressurized fluid can be balanced within the valve to reduce the force of the solenoid mechanism to move a valve member.SOLUTION: A valve mechanism includes a solenoid case having a coil inside. A valve body has an inlet port and a first valve seat. An axially adjustable retainer threadably connected to the valve body has an end portion forming a second valve seat. An integral valve member/armature is slidably disposed in the valve body and moves by a magnetic flux of a coil between valve closed and valve open positions. In the valve member/armature, as pressurized fluid acts on the first and second surface areas in the valve closed position, a pressure balanced condition is defined.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a proportional pressure controller that reduces cost and operation power.
      SOLUTION: The proportional pressure controller 10 includes a body having inlet 28, outlet 30, and exhaust 32 ports. A fill valve 54 communicates with pressurized fluid in the inlet port 28. A dump valve 56 communicates with pressurized fluid from the fill valve 54. An inlet poppet valve 36 opens by pressurized fluid through the fill valve 54. An exhaust poppet valve 80 when closed isolates pressurized fluid from the exhaust port 32. An outlet flow passage 34 communicates with pressurized fluid when the inlet poppet valve 36 is open, and communicates with the outlet flow passage 34 and an exhaust/outlet common passage 86. A fill inlet passage 62 communicates between an inlet passage 58 and the fill valve 54, and is isolated from the outlet flow passage 34, exhaust/outlet common passage 86, and outlet 30 and exhaust 32 ports in all operating conditions of the controller 10.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solenoid driving valve and a high-speed response solenoid which allow sufficient driving output and sufficient operation speed to be obtained. SOLUTION: A solenoid for the solenoid driving valve comprises a bobbin having a cross section of generally rectangular or elliptical shape, a polar plate fixed to the bobbin, and an armature which can slide within the bobbin in response to a magnetic field generated through the plate by a coil. The coil wound around the bobbin has a cross section of generally rectangular shape, and its minor-axis side is a width W. A ratio (D/W) of a diameter D to the width W is constituted to be in the range of 0.4-0.8, where D is a diameter of a cylindrical virtual iron core having the width W and whose cross section is equal to that of the armature.
