    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embroidery sewing machine by which restoring operation can be easily and quickly done when failing in cutting a thread.
      SOLUTION: A multihead type embroidery machine 1 has a table 2 where a recess portion 4 for maintenance operation is formed and a sewing frame 7 arranged on the table. A thread cutting unit cutting a needle thread in the lower side of a needle plate is arranged in a bed 6. The bed 5 is equipped with: a slider pulling a needle thread between the needle and a bobbin to the rear side of a needle in a condition where the sewing frame stops; a thread holding unit holding the needle thread between the thread and a balance; and a detector detecting thread cutting error based on the position of the slider when the thread cutting unit fails in cutting a thread. Switches 47, 48 which an operator operates when the sewing frame 7 stops at the position where the sewing machine 7 covers the recess portion 4 are arranged in a switch box 39 near the recess portion 4. A control unit stops the operation of the sewing machine responding to the signal from the detector and retracts the sewing frame 7 from the recess portion 4 after canceling the movement of the thread holding unit when the switches 47, 48 are operated.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a sewing quality in a workpiece by forming an attachment frame 15 attached to a base frame 11 of a sewing frame 10 to be hardly distorted.
      SOLUTION: The sewing frame 10 for extending and holding an object to be sewn and a driving mechanism 20 which supports the sewing frame 10 to be driven to two directions, i.e., an x-direction being in a juxtaposing direction of a sewing machine head 6 and a y-direction orthogonal to the x-direction, are attached to the sewing table 7 of a multi-head sewing machine. The sewing frame 10 includes: the base frame 11 connected to the driving mechanism 20; and an attachment frame 15 attached to the base frame 11 so as to be adjustable in the y-direction. An attachment frame support mechanism 61 for directly connecting the attachment frame 15 to the sewing table 7 without involving the base frame 11, so as to be make the table 7 slidable in the two x, y-directions and supporting the table is attached between the attachment frame 15 and the sewing table 7.
