    • PURPOSE: To dissolve the time and cost loss of work for a connection confirmation test in the case of installing a meter for automatic meter inspecting by displaying the result of the connection confirmation test on a display part. CONSTITUTION: When a meter 1 for automatic meter inspecting is installed at a consumer of gas, a switch part 7 of the meter 1 is operated. With this operation, a control part 2 originates a call through a communication part 6 to a center and transmits a prescribed telegraphic message to the center. The center, that receives this message, transmits a positive response to the meter 1 for automatic meter inspecting. When the positive response from the center is received, the control part 2 judges the normal end of the connection confirmation test and displays it on a display part 8. Since a worker who installs the meter 1 for automatic meter inspecting observes the contents displayed on the display part 8 so as to recognize the result of the connection confirmation test while staying at the site, the speedy and exact measures can be taken when the connection can not be provided well.

When the clerk arrives at the destination, the meter ID of the gas meter 7 to cut off gas, the slave equipment ID of slave radio equipment 6 connected to this gas meter 7 and command for instructing the cutting-off of gas are inputted to the radio terminal equipment 8 by operating the keyboard of the radio terminal equipment 8. The clerk transmits a telegraphic message, to which various kinds of information such as the meter ID are set, by pushing a transmission button. The slave radio equipment 6, that receives this telegraphic message, transmits the command for instructing the cutting-off of gas after it is confirmed that the ID set in the telegraphic message is equal with the meter ID of the gas meter 7 to which the slave radio equipment 6 is connected. The gas meter 7, that receives this command, executes the cutting-off of gas.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a meter such as a gas meter, especially, a meter capable of recording a history of shocks applied from outside.SOLUTION: A sensor 2b extracts a low-frequency component (for example, equal to or lower than 50 Hz) by an LPF 2c (S102), and measures three-axial acceleration values at predetermined sampling intervals (for example, 100 Hz) (S101). The filtered low-frequency component signal is transmitted to a CPU 2a. The sensor 2b normally detects vertical gravity acceleration continuously in a meter installed state, but when the absolute value of the acceleration of the low-frequency component increases above a threshold (corresponding to a first threshold in the claim) (YES at S103), the sensor determines that a shock is applied from outside (S104), receives acceleration values and time data in a certain time before and after that, and saves the data in time series in a memory part 2e (S105). Further, the application of the shock is reported to a center monitoring center 11 (S106).
