      CONSTITUTION: A computer unit comprises a display control circuit 135 including a computer 134 which is directly connected to the battery of a vehicle and a main control circuit 133 including a computer 132 connected to the battery through an ignition switch. The display control circuit 135 operates to change a set temperature in accordance with a main routine and an interruption subroutine for executing operating process in accordance with the switching operation of the ignition switch. The main control circuit 133 executes control routines, such as controlling a compressor, on the basis of the set temperature and various input signals. Multiple control functions of the controller are continuously maintained through the separate processing of signals by means of microcomputers.

CONSTITUTION:The suspension characteristic such as the damping force generation pattern and the spring constant of a suspension means M1 installed between a wheel and a car body is controlled by a means M3 on the basis of the vibration state of a vehicle which is detected by a means M2. In this device, the operation state of the vehicle which generates the tilt of the vehicle attitude is detected by a means M4. Further, the suspension characteristic of the suspension means M1 is corrected to a hard side as a whole by a means M5 when the degree of tilt of the attitude which is estimated from the detected operation state of the vehicle is the first standard value or more. Further, when the degree of the tilt of the attitude is over the second standard value or more, the suspension characteristic of the suspension means M1 is fixed to a hard state by a means M6 independently of the vibration state of the vehicle.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the frequency of setting suspension characteristics at a soft side when the vibration of a vehicle exceeds an allowable vibration range, and increase the stability of the vehicle against a lateral force by expanding the allowable vibration range according to an increase in lateral force acting on the vehicle. CONSTITUTION:When the vibration condition of a vehicle detected with a vibration condition detection means M1 on the basis of a road condition change, exceeds an allowable vibration range, the hardness and soft characteristics of a vehicle suspension device M2 drop and the suspension characteristics thereof are set at the soft side with a characteristics setting means M3. In the aforesaid constitution, the magnitude of a lateral force F acting on the vehicle due to a lateral wind is detected with a lateral force detection means M4. Also, the allowable vibration range is so set with an allowable vibration range setting means M5 as to expand, according to an increase in lateral force F. Consequently, the frequency of setting the suspension characteristics at the soft side is lessened and the average of the suspension characteristics is shifted to the hard side. According to the aforesaid construction, the stability of the vehicle against the lateral force can be increased.

Moreover, at the time of high speed, a road surface detection timing is advanced by a timing quickening means M6. Thus, the riding comfortableness and the driving stability can be improved.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the riding comfortableness and controllability in a suspension controller having a damping force variation buffer by correcting the damping force to the average value side of the damping force on the road surface when a road surface condition is judged to being continued, while correcting the damping force to the large damping force side along the increase of vehicle speed. CONSTITUTION:A detecting means M2 detects the coefficient of variation of a damping force of a shock absorber M1 and a damping force controlling means M3 sets the damping force according to the detected coefficient and the reference value for regulation. At the same time, a road surface condition detecting means M4 detects a road surface condition from the damping setting varying condition, and when a flat or bad road is judged to being continued, a damping force correcting means M5 corrects the set damping force of the controlling means M3 to the average value side. Then, a correction amount correcting means M7 corrects the damping force to the side of increasing the damping force along with the increase of vehicle speed detected by a vehicle speed detecting means M6. Thus, the riding quality and controllability can be improved.
