摘要： PURPOSE:To enable high-speed electrolytic tinning giving a thick film by adding a small amount of m-aminoacetoanilide and m-nitroacetoanilide to an electrolytic tinning bath so as to reduce the formation of sludge and to increase the permitted current density. CONSTITUTION:To an electrolytic tinning bath having a prescribed composition contg. halogen are added 0.5-5.0g/l m-aminoacetoanilide and/or m- nitroacetoanilide. The resulting tinning bath is very effective in inhibiting the oxidation of bivalent tin ions over the entire pH range, and especially the effect is remarkable at a low pH. When the tinning bath is used, smooth, lustrous and nondendritic tin having superior adhesion can be electrodeposited on a steel sheet.

摘要： PURPOSE:To produce a tin-free steel having excellent retort treatment resistance by subjecting a steel sheet to a cathodic treatment in an electrode for reverse electrolysis, Cr plating treatment, reverse electrolytic treatment and electrolytic Cr acid treatment. CONSTITUTION:The steel sheet as a cathode is subjected to the cathodic treatment at 7A/dm current density in an aq. Cr acid soln. in the electrode for the reverse electrolytic treatment. CrO3 and H2SO4 at 80A/dm and further the steel sheet as an anode is subjected to the reverse electrolytic treatment for 0.2sed at 3.5A/dm and is then immersed in a plating soln. contg. CrO3 and is electrolytically treated with the Cr acid by the cathodic treatment at 10 Coulomb/dm quantity of electricity. The steel sheet is cathodically treated for the cathodic treatment and is used as the electrode for the reverse electrolysis for the anodic treatment in the electrode for the reverse electrolysis for the cathodic treatment, by which the uniform Cr oxide film is formed and the tin-free steel having the stable quality is produced.

Consequently, when the lower backup roll is rotated 180 degrees before the backup roll is rolled down and clamped, the foreign matters 5 on the lower backup roll 1 are dropped naturally by gravity. Therefore, no indentations are given to the lower work rolls 2. Even when foreign matters contain oil content and does not fall naturally by adhesive effect, a scraper blade 6 comes into contact with the whole width of the lower backup roll 1 on the inlet side of the roll 1 to remove the foreign matters through arm attachable/detachable scraper.
