摘要： PURPOSE: To realize easy retrieval of recorded video information by extracting the content being recorded on a video tape along the time series, producing a split display index image and recording the index image at the head part of a video tape. CONSTITUTION: An input video signal 41 is recorded on a VTR tape at a mechanism section 11b and subjected, in parallel therewith, A/D-converted every 30min, and taken in as a still image into a frame memory FM 18. The still image is subjected to compression coding by a microcomputer 16b for generating an index image and stored in a memory card 13. The content of the card 13 is read out and subjected to decompression coding by means of the microcomputer 16b. A single screen is divided by nine, for example, and edited into split display index image signals which are recorded in an index area at the head part of the VTR tape. The video information can be retrieved easily even when the video tape is reproduced using a common VTR.

A drive system 6 (a coil, a magnetic circuit and a permanent magnet) of the body 5 is made to a position relation to clamp the element 2 and the magnetic field generating at the drive system 6 is efficiently impressed on the element 2. Hence since a drive system is not included in the board 1, the thickness of the board 1 can be as thin as the element 2 and since the board 1 does not have the drive system 6, the board 1 can be produced at a cheap price.
