      CONSTITUTION: A transparent gelatinous cosmetic containing (A) an ether compound of an aliphatic alcohol with polypropylene oxide polyethylene oxide expressed by the formula (R is saturated straight chain, saturated branched or unsaturated aliphatic alcohol residue; a is 13W35; b is 5W40) and (B) a 12W22C unsaturated or 8W32C branched fatty acid ester of polyoxyethylenesorbitol having 20W60 average number of added ethylene oxide moles and 3W6 esterification degree at 1/20W3/1, preferably 1/11W6/4 ratio in ≥3wt%, preferably 7W 40wt% total of the components (A) and (B), and (C) 0W20wt% another nonionic surfactant. The use of both the components (A) and (B) provides improved gel forming ability and oil solubilizing ability which cannot be obtained by the component (A) or (B) alone.

    • PURPOSE: To objectively and quantitatively evaluate comfortableness by skin irritation brought by massaging by using smoothness, lightness of slip and warmness of a massaging material as indexes and to simply design a comfortable massaging material. CONSTITUTION: A massaging material is evaluated by using smoothness, lightness of slip and warmness of a massaging material as indexes. The smoothness is preferably shown by thickness of a massaging material felt in spreading on skin and, for example, can be obtained from a coefficient of friction of the massaging material and a variance value of a dynamic friction curve measured by a viscoelasticity measuring device. The lightness of slip is preferably shown by the degree of smallness of an integrated value of the sense of touch of massaging action and, for example, is obtained from an integrated value of the dynamic friction curve. The warmness is preferably shown by thermal conductivity. To be concrete, for example, a massaging material containing a large amount of a liquid paraffin having a small integrated value of the dynamic friction curve, a low variance value and a low thermal conductivity has high evaluation when estimated by the evaluating method.
