    • PURPOSE: To receive packets without lowering the processing efficiency of a computer in case of transmission to another process, by providing a message transmission instruction processing means to perform the processing where packets in a packet storage area are transferred to a process.
      CONSTITUTION: If a packet is not queued in a process control block 1-n, (0) is written in a data packet entry column 5. If the block 1-n points a packet storage area 3-J and the storage area 3-J points a packet storage area 3-K, (0) is written in a pointer column because no link packets exist in the storage area 3-K. When a packet in the storage area 3-J is written in a data area of a destination process in this state, the block 1-n points the storage area 3-K. In this manner, the presence or the absence of an arrival packet is checked simultaneously with transmission when a packet transmission instruction is issued, and the arrival packet is transferred to the process if it is present, and thus, packets are received without lowering the processing efficiency of the computer.

    • PURPOSE:To completely execute ''Kana'' (Japanese syllabary)-Chinese character conversion even if reading of a word is not inputted completely, by only inputting the front reading of the word and an abbreviation symbol. CONSTITUTION:When the front reading of a word, for instance, ''niho'', and an abbreviation symbol (+) are inputted from an input part 17, a words dictionary retrieving part 12 reads out all words beginning with ''niho'', from a words dictionary memory 11, and inputs them in a candidate word memory 14. Subsequently, the longest word of them, ''nihongo-nyuryoku-hoshiki'' (Japanese language inputting system) in this instance is shifted to a Japanese word text memory 13 and is displayed on a display part 16. In case when this word is not an object word, when the symbol (+) only is inputted again, the second longest word ''nihongo-nyuryoku'' (Japanese language input) is shifted to the test memory and is displayed. Said operation is repeated until the object word is displayed, and the conversion ends.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically generate a partial template matching partial data of each learning pattern, even if the position of the partial data on the learning pattern is unknown. SOLUTION: This device has a means 2 which extracts the partial data matching the learning pattern 1 the most from the learning pattern 1 with shifting the position of the partial data in each the learning pattern 1; and a means 3 for deciding a partial template 4 by use of the extracted partial data. The device automatically generates the partial template 4 in each category from the learning pattern 1, where the partial data is unknown. Because the partial data matching the most is extracted through shifting of the position in each the learning pattern 1, the partial template 4 matching the partial data of each the learning pattern 1 can be generated automatically, even if the position of the partial data in the learning pattern 1 is unknown. By collating the partial template 4 thus generated with an input pattern, the input pattern where the part of data is lost can be categorized.
